Re: Stop encouraging thirsting and start tracking knock-downs

@Anlbrd Yeah, I get that, and I agree there are often legitimate tactical reasons to do it. I'm not saying it should never happen. However, I think you're being too dismissive about the temptation of scoring that tracker tick. Even if you don't agree with the reason, wouldn't you at least agree that there should be a tracker/end-game stat for it anyway? I mean, you can track how many meters you fly on a zip-line, for crying out loud.

@StormPretzel I get what you're saying mate - but I think the only kind of change that would affect the statistical motivation for it would be to remove the kill tracker entirely and only track knockdowns. It seems like a shame for us to track fewer stats rather than more. I'm not obsessed with stats, but it's nice to have the stats tracked if only to deal with periodic curiosity.

If we made it so that there was no purpose to thirst other than to annoy another player : people would still do it. The only thing that would ever stop that is if there was no knocked status in the game.

The kind of players who need that 1 kill for their tracker really are the least of it mate 🙂
