well it should have terrible hipfire it's a sniper rifle, that's why you get a secondary weapon.
But totally agree about the bullet drop off. I think that is the only thing you need to do to this gun is decrease drop off
mag size is fine imo. You should be punished with reloads for missing shots
Warning... Unpopular opinion upcoming.
This gun suffers from the hop-up problem in this game. I hate the hop-ups. They make bad guns usable (longbow, prowler) or strong guns straight up OP (peacekeeper, wingman).
If they got rid of the hop-ups, just made longbow always have devastating headshots, at least it would have a place and identity. But no one uses longbow, because for it to be even a decent weapon, you have to find the stupid hop-up.
Perhaps the Long Bow is supposed to be a low tier sniper just like the Alternator is a low tier SMG?
Actually i later found out there is a major descrepence in bullet fall off range.
I also dislike the longbow. Never use it anymore.
I dont think the hopups for other weapons are so essential. (I actually like the burst prowler, though i consider it an early game disposable gun as it chews too much ammo)
However, the longbow without the hopup is useless, and even with the hopup its not valuable.
Perhaps they should just give it the insane headshot damage as base, and make the hopup do something else. Such as increase bullet velocity, or increase rate of fire.
nobody plays sniper in this game, very few people play with that triple take.
i like kraber but it has very slow scope aim , if its has quick aim then very great,
OFC nobody plays sniper in game because there are no snipers :P
According to the bullet fall off, the triple take is the only DMR in Apex. (designated Marksman Rifle's have effective ranges of 300 to 850, tripletake has and effective range of 300m)
Check the reply i posted with bullet fall off and you can see how bad the bullet fall off balance is.
I would actually like to see the Longbow accept the Hammerpoint and Disruptor Rounds. This would give it a bit more utility and increase the chances of finding a usable hop-up. I'd personally go for the Disruptor rounds because I like to force people to eat through their shield repair in long-distance third-partying scenarios.
