Re: When is the * solo mode on?

@blkarmphoenix Rude. I know the main post is a bit.....toxic, but there are people out there who don't have friends that play this and/or can't find squads to work with. I'm one of them, and it's frustrating trying to play with randoms all the time, especially when I'm up against teams that are coordinated and can work together: voice chatting and probably know each other vs. some toxic a-hole on my team screaming in my ear that I'm a f****** reta** for not picking him up immediately as he dives in to a team fight all by himself and dies immediately......I have teams muted now because of idiots like that.

And it's not "redesigning" the entire game when literally every other battle royale out there has solo/duo/team modes, and they've had these before for "limited" events, so it's clear that they can do solo mode. It's fun as well, especially when I don't have to worry about downing a guy and having his buddies execute me in the back...

I know this is a very team-based game, with abilities and pinging and stuff like that, but that doesn't mean it has to be squads only 24/7...especially when the game decides to throw me solo without any teammates more times than I can count....always fun when that happens.

    @jokool_aidit is a lot of redesign. As the map is now, Pathfinders have a huge advantage over other legends because they can cross over the chasm much easier. Gibraltar is significantly stronger in a 1v1, while Crypto is useless. Current balancing is not good for solo. Pinging, respawning, finishers, quips and voice lines, which give Apex flavor, are useless if there are no teammates. Even SBMM can be thrown off by it.

    @DoYaSeeMe Okay, I see your points. I also didn't think about the SBMM in that regard.... Guess it does make sense to just have them for limited modes to keep that sort of balance.

    Theyve said from day one team game, so if waiting for solo just do us all a favor and leave... 

    And I WILL NOT buy the fact someone cant find people to play with. Theres forums, discord, xbox has a group feature etc etc etc. The game itself lets you invite people youve played  with... if theyre good guess what SQUAD up, add them to your friends list. Its literally the worst excuse for solos!

    @jokool_aid Not rude. Blunt, yes. Factual, yes. Rude, no.

    I see you responded well to what @DoYaSeeMe said, so I'll refrain from adding on to the topic of why adding solos is not as simple as some would like. That being said however, I do want to point out something you said if you'll allow it.

    You mentioned you mute teams now because of toxic a*holes, and with good reason, nobody deserves to be harassed when trying to enjoy a game. The problem is, that sentiment is not unique to you. Many people even just on these boards have admitted to insta-muting teammates, resolving to drop solo, retaining an unwritten set of rules regarding when they will and won't abandon their team. Each person who sits down to play Apex Legends with this kind of mentality erodes the cooperative squad based foundation that makes this game special.

    Call me an optimist, but online gaming should be able to unite people with common interests and give them a mutual goal to work together on. Every person who writes off the potential to build a rapport as a team, further enforces the stereotypical image of the greasy gamer who lacks basic social skills. Anyone who plays apex on regular basis encounters hundreds, if not thousands of other human beings every time they play. I refuse to accept the argument that out of the tens of thousands of players one will have encountered in the course of playing this game, no two of them merit the minimal effort of attempting to establish a basic human relationship for better gameplay.

    In my humble opinion, the Apex community at large would be in a much better place if every cry for solos, or rant against randoms, were replaced with a post saying "Hey. Does anyone want to jump in a party and play some games tonight?"

    Somebody has to start it. Somebody has to put that first step forward.

    And with that said, let me make it known right here and now. I play on PC. I welcome ANY member of these boards that see this post to add me in game. I will be more than happy to open a discord, introduce myself on a first name basis, and work together with you to improve our skills mutually and secure some wins.

    @blkarmphoenix My apologies. You make a very good point with what you're saying here. I will admit that there have been times when queueing solo that I have had excellent people for teammates (very helpful, friendly, know what they're doing, etc.), so I guess I could start acting more positive about trying to work with squads instead of letting the rare a*hole ruin the entire game for me. Thank you. I'd offer to join you in a few rounds, but I'm a PS4 player, and....I don't think crossplay is on Apex sadly...

    @Jem450R Ever played solo or duos at high elo [ranked or normals]? I’m guessing not. SBMM makes playing this game without a team extremely difficult. It just doesn’t work. 90% of the time your random teammates are severely lacking in the required skill to compete. They don’t use mics, zero team awareness, and they can’t aim to save their life.

    I’ve posted on these forums, searched on discord, and posted on the Xbox search features. It’s very difficult to find consistent players that are good enough to play at the Diamond/Predator elo. Most of those players already have teams.

    Adding solos/duos does nothing to your team dynamic. It may extend your que time, but we’ll never know unless they actually add the damn modes permanently. Based off the limited time events I’m guessing the wait would be minimal.

    Yeah everybody is either Full or in a match. I have 2 pages worth of "friends" had a main squad one guy had a baby the others playstation malfunctioned. Had another who was cool then got cocky so 4-5 people cut him off because we didnt need him. I get your disposition but unfortunately it fails to address the natural state of the and in turn causes unintentional flaws

    If this was a team only based game why do we have match making to begin with? Why cant you load into match only when you have 3 friends?

    The reason is because belief that you need Solo's and

    Solo quers need Solo's friends just take up space
