Re: Whose idea at Respawn was to have that Mirage/Crypto "loser" voiceline ?
@ZinII10 "I'm not a pawn, I'm here to break the game" ~ Crypto.
Honestly, I enjoy the lines between the legends. I don't understand why you think it's such a bad idea. The lines literally are there show their personalities.
Revenant: I'm not thanking you
Wraith: I didn't ask
Revenant: Don't go thinking I owe you anything
Lifeline: Ugh, dis boy, drop out why don't ya
Bangalore: I guess I have you to thank for this
Revenant: (he says something about keeping Loba in check otherwise he'll kill her)
While you're complaining about Crypto's voicelines, I'm sharing Revenant's because they're the only ones I actually fully remember that shows personalities, oh and kinda Wattson's/Caustic's lines in season 7:
Caustic: I hope one day we could be friends again
Wattson: Those puppy dog eyes aren't working for you
This is literally from the season 5 quest fallout where Wattson found out that Caustic framed Crypto. In season 5, Wattson was hurt and hated them both during season 6. One of season 6's loading screens, was info from Gibraltar, where he said he have given her a letter explaining what she didn't want to hear. After that, Wattson has been real sassy towards Caustic, and it just fits so well.
What I'm saying is, you're having a problem with Crypto's voice lines, because he's the kind of guy who doesn't really care about anyone besides himself. Him calling Mirage an idiot, or witt, is just because he knows he's smarter than Mirage. He also calls him "old man", even though Crypto's is older, because (what I assume) is due to the fact that Mirage's way of talking is that of someone who had forgotten what they're trying to say. "There goes a ba- bam- bambo- fooled them". Mirage calling Crypto a weirdo is because Crypto is a paranoid freak who's always watching everyone else because he's trying to keep his own back covered.
It doesn't seem like Respawn is being biased, it just seems like you don't like legends having personalities.
