Why promoting camping
i always saw this game as a kill or get killed game, like Quake, that's what i love about it, very intense fights, but now on plat, everyone is just camping because of those points you get from top 1...

The RP system should not promote camping for pushing the meta in the way devs/ea wants to, a system have to be as neutral as possible, it doesn't matter if the character is currently bad/unplayable, just patch it later, we already have a good game without it and it makes it funnier when the character is brought back. That's how you are supposed to shift a meta.
I'm really disappointed from Respawn who said "we won't update as frequently as fortnite, we want quality content", season 1 was bad, season 2 looks slightly better, Elite was a test, how can you chill that much and not delivering quality content.I'm fine with daily patches, i'm even fine with one patch per year as long as the game is polished.
Each patchs brings errors/ bad tweaking/balance issue, you showed us you can solve it with weapons changes (plz nerf disruptor but that's all), keep it on with the rest of the game, the faster you do this the faster you can compete with fortnite and grab tons of money.
It feels like you gave up and doing it halfway.
The game is now 6 month old and still a lot to polish, you saw the hype it made, get some ea backup i don't know DO SOMETHING.
I also think getting RP based from the XP you got might be the best solution.
Before being a BR, it's a First Person Shooter. This meta is hell men,(im gonna talk about matchmaking not premade) even if you are jumpmaster, your team will most likely leave you alone, don't give a f*** about the fight your in, won't even try to get your banner, keep looting and going away. They avoid fight at all cost, this is not normal.
And if you got the enemy team they gonna steal all your loot.
The spirit of the game for me is when you somehow survive 2-3 teams pushing you or even more, get out with 7+kills, doesn't matter if you win or loose it, the intensity of the fight is the fun, there is nothing funny about hiding the entire game and killing the last squad, it's boring and should not be rewarded, it should be punished for me, with an anti afk system or something.
There is 2 philosophy coexisting in this game, the sheep one, and the wolf one.If you are new to fps it's okay to be a sheep, we all have been one once, but the game should push you to improve youself and turning you to a wolf.
Before being plat, i NEVER experienced a team cornerhiding, not even moving(for not being detected by sound), taking you by surprise in 3v1, it's sad that this strategy is working great in a game designed to be fast and furious.

I do however enjoy out-sneaking and ambushing the other teams towards the end of a match. Since it's not a clear-cut FPS my way of playing is also perfectly valid. Maybe not quite equally valid, but valid nonetheless. Pretty much since I got into Apex I hear people complaining about other people somehow playing it wrong, despite the fact that that "wrong" playstyle is actively being rewarded by the game.
It's perfectly cool not to like certain aspects of the game, but it's slightly less cool to call for other players to not be rewarded or even being punished for playing in a way that seems absolutely intended by the game, even if it's not how you prefer to do it. There are enough more substantial issues to discuss imo.
i said if it was me i would punish but they won't don't worry, at least they should not reward it, you will still be free to do it.
