@Tom0ve First I have to agree that it sucks having cross-play forced on PC players. I've also grown a little suspicious of AA over the last few months where it feels stronger but that's probably in my head. Everything else you've said just seems like nonsense aimed at generating support from the PC crowd. You haven't directly said it but you seem to imply that PC has 0 advantages over console while exaggerating or attaching the strength of AA to things that should be banned like strikepacks or whatever. It comes off as fairly dishonest.
@Midnight9746 So much here... First Wraith was a problem. I never cared about her abilities but her size, posture, and movement were serious balance issues. If we ignore abilities it was objectively easier to win a 1v1 with Wraith than with any other Legend.
Spitfire buff was trash. Maybe they have a good reason for doing it but if they don't want to explain that reason then I'm with you. An easy to use gun shouldn't also be high damage.
Peacekeeper required no skill or at least no more than the Mastiff but this could be subjective. PK is easier for me and Mastiff for you so whatever.
I LOVED the devotion but it was trash without a turbocharger. Seems like it received a stealth buff after it was removed from the care package because it fires instantly now. Previously it took longer than the Havoc to fire the first shot which meant you'd often go down before firing a shot unless you outsmarted your target.
Hate the Caustic nerf as well.
Don't like the charge rifle but I'm surprised you didn't mention the easy to use Triple Take.
Pathfinder was a cheap OP character especially when fighting in Skull Town or anywhere with multiple floors. Could chase down any character, outrun any character, and escape up high whenever outplayed.
As for adjustments to controllers... eh. If we really want to strafe while looting it would have to be attached to the triggers on the back of the controller. Otherwise we'd have to play Claw style just to loot.
Your personal experience with a controller is interesting. I also played a bit of Call of duty without AA but I can't say I did "extremely well." I dominated weak lobbies but struggled against competent opponents. High sensitivity + joysticks made snapping to targets impossible if they could fight back at all.
@Ghosted_Waffle I just said what was on my mind. Sure, in some cases cross play is fun, and I do know a few console users, but overall the competitive scene is watered down, and there's a large amount of console users using things like strike packs that it makes it annoying to play. Had a ranked game today where a Banglore smoked me and my teammate out after we landed, and the Bloodhound (without scanning) picked up a Wingman (No Optics) and then snapped to both of our heads. Both users were console players and were moving like they were on PC. Its sad how bad the game has gotten.
@Blazed_Cajun M/K is indeed a level above console, I won't ignore or deny that fact, my main problem is with xim, strike packs, and things that abuses the aim assist. Most of the controller players I fight against, have PC-like (and even better) aim, which makes me question if they're emulating console on a PC or something.
In the end, cross play should be optional. Back when I played Fortnite, I had fun with cross play because it only was enabled if you have a console player in your party, if you didn't, you got paired with users using the same controller.
This is something Apex should implement. Which is to matchmake console to console, PC to PC users, and Console/PC to Console/PC users, while also making sure the inputs are the same. I can see issues with M/K on console, and controller on PC, where someone could plug one in, matchmake, and use their other input (AKA, plug in a controller, and then dominate using a M/K against all console users), but can't you just lock the controls to one input device?
The game was a blast in season 1, despite that hard to grind battle pass, and even more fun in season 2, but after season 3, the "fun" factor kept dying down as they ruin the competitve play and made things easy. Only fun I have, is from events, but after like 5 days, that gets boring as well.
- 4 years ago@Midnight9746 It would be nice to find that happy medium for sure bruh. I agree with you. Pre-season 1 to 3 was the most fun I've ever had in a battle royale.
