Remove aim assist on consoles

I'll accept it if they gave aim assist a disadvantage versus not having it on. Like for example your reticle slows down much more when coming across a target making it harder to track. The only players you would kill with it are noobs and bots. Eventually to progress yourself as a player and in ranks it's recommended that you turn it off

The auto aim is not that huge of an advantage. I‘m a ps4 player but I‘m playing Apex with some friends on PC sometimes and of course with controller since I‘m better with it than I am with m&k.

First of all, the aim assist isn‘t nearly that every noob just instantly lasers you without any problems. Secondly, the m&k users have a huge advantage in movement like strafing left/right. I can tell you that it is wayyy harder to challenge a pc player in close fight due to the movement. And when you do you most likely have to shoot with hipfire because of his crazy left/right/duck *. And in that case there is no auto aim at all!

I was playing Battlefield for years with auto aim turned off while 99% of the players had it turned on. I had no problem killing all these guys since auto aim won‘t give them game-sense nor is it anywhere like a aim-bot. I always felt that it even annoyed me since i wasn‘t in full controll of my crosshair, for example when i was shooting a guy and another guy would run across the line of fire, the crosshair would be affected. I was way better without it, but it took a while and a lot of commitment. But not everyone has the time and nerves to do that.

Therefore I wouldn‘t care if they would take it out, but I can tell you that you don‘t have an advantage over m&k players. If anything, the m&k guys still have a huge advantage. Especially in a fast moving game like Apex... 

If you wanna play without aim assist, go on and do it.

@Blasian311 I'm actually not supporting aim assist on PC at all. M/K should be used on PC so controllers shouldn't be prioritized there. Rip out aim assist on PC or keep it since I really don't care.

Aim assist is necessary on consoles to make use of the controller. Rip it out and even Gold players will be able to avoid Predators with ease. I could be wrong though since the last time I played without it was as an above average player on Call of Duty.

Two targets running close to each other would drag my sights slightly off target and cause me to miss so I turned it off out of irritation. End result? Landing my first shot felt weird but was more consistent since I was doing all the work but maintaining shots with a full auto gun was difficult. Recoil and player movement made it so I had to make continuous small adjustments to my aim which was impossible to do with imprecise thumbsticks. Apex has more mobility than Call of duty so I'd imagine any decent player can dance around bullets without aim assist. Most of us dodge shots fairly well now so I can't imagine how hard it would be to hit Wraith/Bangalore/Lifeline with no aim assist on consoles.

Then again aim assist could be weaker on apex so maybe I'm overstating its need? There's no Team deathmatch here for me to test out the experience in combat.

@Blasian311Last time I checked. Console has bad frame rates and limited keybines. If you don’t notice well your far from a console player

@Blasian311 Well no. I haven't tried the upgrades to the firing range but if its anything like other games then I'll be able to maintain accuracy by just predicting my opponent's position and movements. Even with a low skill level you can challenge opponents if you know exactly where they are and how they're going to fight. The only true way for me to see how it affects my ability is through constant and unpredictable gun fights that I have to react to in a split second.

I don't believe your premise for a second and it seems to come from false ideas passed around by PC players. However I don't know you and have no right to question your personal experience. I disagree and dropping out from this topic.
