To be honest, I have the opposite idea. Why not allow people who reached master and diamond to permanently keep their dive trails. I find is so unfair that someone has to work their * off to be a pred/master, but can only keep a token of that hard work for 3 months. Now sure, it looks like they want you to keep working at it, but that wont change a thing if you can keep the badge too. I have seen preds with just the badge and no trail because either 1, they dont want the entire lobby to land near them to kill them fast or 2, they feel like there is no need when you have a badge to prove it.
