Any time I see one of these post I laugh and think, 'none of these people have ever played with a controller before.' Because for all their whining and complaining they don't realize, us controller players don't like aim assist either.
'Cheaters' they all cry when aim assist was put in to help even out the many advantages keyboard and mouse players have (yet no one would dare call that cheating), but in fact it is more annoying than it is helpful.
I play on console with an unmodded controller and I despise aim assist. I cannot count the number of times I'm trying to get a lead on someone to shoot them, and aim assist keeps me trailing behind, or all the agonizing moments when I'm so close to knocking someone, and a new target shows up and my aim assist locks onto them instead screwing me out of a potential elimination and gets me killed instead, or again when my aim assist locks onto a downed player when I'm in the middle of fighting someone else.
I've looked to turn it off but I can't find the option to do so.
I have to fight my own controller! How the f is that cheating? Maybe you're just not as good as you think? Or who ever you're fighting is using modded controllers?
Apex isn't just a PC game, it's available on all consoles and even mobile. I play with friends on pc, xbox, ps4. I'm not going to purchase a whole new system just to give a bunch of whiners a more pleasurable gaming experience because they can't tell the difference between modded controller, aim assist, or an actual cheater.
