Remove movement slowdown when shot

Hello,

I’ve been playing playing games for about 25 years at least and I’ve never seen this mechanic in competitive FPS’s. I don’t understand why if I’m shot and I’m aware I’m getting shot, I come to a screeching halt making it easier to kill me. If I’m getting shot I need to find cover or zig zag to try and make it harder for the enemy to kill me. If the enemy is skilled enough, then he still should be able to shoot me regardless of my slowed movement speed. However, the fact that I come to a stand still for a second makes it that much easier to kill me. Please take away this mechanic. It negates skill.  The only logical explanation I can come up with is that is makes it more accessible for casual players to secure a kill. Is that right?  The game is fun but this mechanic really makes no sense except for the reason listed and ruins the enjoyment factor for myself. Does anyone else want this mechanic to go away?  Does this promote skill, if so, why?

@espadakillar69I now believe the problem to be more serious.

I used to own a 1080 which should plat the game perfectly especially in medium settings like I did.
The game had become unbearable for 2 seasons.

I recently swapped GPU to a 6950XT and 80% of my lag problems simply vanished.
One of them was an extreme delay after landing which got the unable to move for much longer than normal. Heavy animations like the artillery from bangalore/gibby: as soon as the missiles hit the floor I would start lagging!
Also getting shot slowed me down. I'm not talking about being slightly slower which is normal I saying getting shot was like getting hit with a arc star. I couldn't move.

This improved however yesterday for example I felt this issue again probably due to lag.

So I'm guessing this is a two part problem. LAG + respawn not updating the minimum requirements after so many game updates.

Just so you don't think this is an isolated issue a friend of mine with a 1070 the same and more often complains than I did.
The bought a 7900XT almost at the same time as me.

Guess what? 80% of his problems disappeared.

No we did not have damaged GPU cards (this is not my first rodeo) but I played much more demanding games with that 1080 with higher settings which any glitches (Tom Raider, Control).

Maybe something is wrong with the Pascal architecture and Apex I don't know but this really happened.

    Hope it helps.
