Remove the spectating-indicator for good

Ok, so I guess most people will have noticed by now that the little eye symbol that indicates that someone is watching you has disappeared in ranked. However, it is still there in normal mode.

And the very simple question that I ask myself every single time is: WHY? WHY does it even exist? Why was it even put into the game in the first place? I mean spectating someone has a reason. If you get downed incredibly quick or when someone deals you 9 shots with an R99 and 7 of those are headshots (consecutively!) and that was done while you were AD-strafing and around 20m away from the enemy, you might want to check whether or not that person is clean. However, when the cheater is informed about the fact that the last player is spectating he/she will obviously turn off the cheats. Maybe that'll end the game cause now that cheater has to use the crappy actual aim to fight but they won't get caught.

You're only favoring cheaters with this and on one side I don't get how this was even implemented in the first place but what I get even less is how it's still a thing over 1 year later???

I guess the regular players can just go f themselves? I mean the player base has complained about the terrible muzzle flash for MONTHS and nothing happened but 5 days after Shroud uploaded a video titled "Fix Muzzle Flash" a fix for the muzzle flash was included in the next big update.

But back to the topic: There is no logical reason to keep this aspect in the game cause as I explained it completely counteracts the point of spectating someone.

And if we are already on the topic, a death recap where you can rewatch yourself getting killed should be implemented as well. By doing that you'd eliminate any chance to hide a cheat cause even if a cheater is smart enough to instantly turn off the cheat after they killed you, you'd still be able to see it.

But instead, you do nothing. Instead, you simply keep the eye that only favors cheaters.

    Respectfully,

    @Zero-Loot5

    That is definitely some suspicious behavior. I never noticed until you showed me. Cheaters would definitely ruin the game and I hope they are dealt with. Thanks for making video evidence. I wonder by what means they are able to do that... Anyway, it seems we both have our own perception of how many games constitutes "a lot" of games. Your opinion is no more correct than mine (and mine, not any more than yours). It's not worth fighting over. Let's agree to disagree on that matter.

    @NoLove1337

    I am not sure who that is, and I am not going to look it up. I've heard the name before but, the reference is lost on me.

    @Godisbullen

    I will genuinely answer your question: No, I was not trolling and I am definitely not very stupid. There's no need for you to be disrespectful, as I was never disrespectful to you. Let's be civil about this (I can do it, but can you?). If somebody does not know something, it is not their fault that they don't know. Rather than try to belittle someone, why not educate them? Be the better person. To what you said about cheaters being easy to detect - maybe it was easy for you, but obviously it was not easy for me. Just because YOU noticed something does not mean that everyone else will. I usually perform well enough in games that - if anyone had cheated, I couldn't tell because I was beating them. I would suppose that cheaters should easily be able to defeat me at every turn, but that is not what I am currently experiencing.

    @Hellsynki

    Although I can't say for certain which one it is, I would lean more towards the "lucky" assumption because, I usually perform well enough in games that - if anyone had cheated, I couldn't tell because I was beating them. It's not obvious to me. I would suppose that cheaters should easily be able to defeat me at every turn, but that is not what I am currently experiencing.

    Oh God I have no idea why the Video about the caustic is so damn laggy. But it can still show that he is cheating.

    Maybe because it's a recording of a recording. For some reason the edited version (the one where I cut out the parts where nopthig happened) wouldn't get an upload. So I just recorded the edited version, trimmed that recording and uploaded it but that has pretty ugly stutter. Whatever. Sorry for that eyesore.
