Reverting the shield change ruined this game

Im a day one player and have always had problems with this game but I still want to love it. Changing the Evo shields in my opinion was the best change they have made since I started playing. Respawn you have caved to people who are cowering behind way to much armor because they dont know how to work as a team or be tactical. Reverting back to the original Evo shield mechanic is the worst thing Ive seen in this game. You made a change that you thought would benefit the game and caved as soon as people stared complaining. This is so disappointing. I know some people are on the other side of the fence from me but I loved the opening to season six so much but after one day of this change Im about to uninstall. Not looking to argue maybe this game just isn't for me anymore.

  • @pbooles8822 im a day one player too but i absolutely hated the shield changes, the game was unplayable for me and everyone of my friends, the third parties were literally impossible to survive with the low ttk, gun balance was poor all around cause of the changes, batteries were worthless, i could go on, im happy they reverted it back

Maybe its just not for me anymore I liked the change but I might just need time to adjust back to the og gameplay. The third party situations were definitely harder to survive but fighting two teams should be. I dunno if it was just easier so I liked it more it just felt smoother to me.

  • Well yeh, peoples looked shields as simple answer to complex issue, apex developers including.

my original idea was to buff weaker weapons on last season when peoples demanded to nerf strong ones like r99 to bring them into better balance rather then constant nerfs. combining shield nerf with all the other updates caused maybe bit too much of a swing to side or another rather then subtly changing things like shotguns pumping still for 120 became much larger issue since they got also buffed rather then weapons like r-301 getting small damage update or spitfire.

This game was not designed around that big of a swing, so they either had to nerf alot of previously already strong weapon, or revert the change and buff a few weaker weapons wich on short term might be easier. especially when wraith q was balanced around larger heatlh pool this might be the better route into increased dps. The way it shoulda gone to begin with

I hope they plan to do it this way atleast but never know what future holds on.

  • Name calling really? This was a friendly discussion. Dont get all worked up keyboard warrior. Save that toxic nonsense for when you get swept in game.
