Review. General feedback
Hi EA
First thing I noticed was how smooth this games was. Being a FtP and early access. Till I realised, that it isn’t early access. But a complete fully released game FOR FREE! BY EA! Surely that had some red flags poppin’ up for me.
I’ve played this game last cpl of days, and been having a blast. It’s like a new game style, but in a known environment (BR).
I, as a gamers, clearly see a potential for this. To take over the BR genre. And out do other major titles.
The game itself feels like a merge of (obviously) titanfall, pubg, blackout, unreal tournament and overwatch.
As of gameplay.
The loot system truly brings me back, to the good old Quake games.
But with a fresh, crispy sprinkle on top and the “new look” as goes with weapons attachments.
The whole “oh no it has loot boxes”. Is pure nonsense. Since every game nowadays has it, and especially FtP games.
Ppl need to realise that it’s just a bonus. When these (in reality*) only includes cosmetics (*FO76, COD, etc.).
And the deal with two of the legends being locked at the start. Isn’t really a biggy. Since (in my experience) you can unlock one of them already at lvl 20. And even the fact that there is an option to earn your way to it by playing, is great.
Ppl who complain about this is (in my opinion) just spoiled brats. That doesn’t appreciate, working your way towards a goal.
Which is probably why the devs decided to do this in the first place. To give the game a bit more depth and enjoyment. And to encourage ppl to play. Instead of just having everything unlocked at day one.
That’s what keeps games alive.
That achievement at the horizon.
And the journey to get there.
That is the essence of gaming.
I’d even go as far, as to say. That if they were bold enough to bring in a SaD (search and destroy) mode for this. They could potentially be rivalling CS:GO
Dunno how it should be done. Since it’s a different gameplay and environment.
But could be 3v3 restricted to only one map location.
I was a bit sceptical to begin with. Since it said EA on the label. But I have to say. That I’ve been enjoying this game (so far).
