RISK of spending money on APEX legends
I joined the apex community halfway through season 6, and made a good amount of in game purchases. Battle passes, packs, coins to get that one skin you want. The dev's do a good job, it's a great game.
But like many who have been hacked and banned for cheating, and now have had their account unplayable, it really isn't fair that you can't get a refund on purchases if they decide to keep the ban. Their servers have a real lack on security, and their customer service has no interest in helping. I've been waiting weeks for resolution from their Terms of Service team, and it doesn't seem like a resolution is going to end up in my favor. I'm honestly tired of having tantrums with their stoic customer service, and just waiting for a resolution email so I can go ahead and see what my bank will do for me to get my money back, a few weeks is enough time to be waiting on their TERMS OF SERVICE TEAM. Do they just sit on their thumbs?
Some warnings to look out for:
-if you're getting a "operation code:leaf connection error" repeatedly, i think someones attempting to hack your account or the server you're on. It would happen repeatedly until I finally got a "you're logged into two computers at once" which I figured was the server just telling me 'oh damn, you got disconnected, but it thinks you're still connected' when it really was 'you're really logged in on two computers' ... Now that i play on a alternate account sometimes, I've never had the code:leaf issue.
-check your rank stats, and how many games get played. cheaters really like to run hacks in ranked, and that will get you banned quick. So i guess if you can change your account security in the time it takes them to play a bunch of cheats in ranked you might be able to save your account. When you are banned, you can still log in and look at account stats and do everything (EVEN MAKE PURCHASES) but you get logged out when trying to matchmake. Ever wonder why sometimes they don't give you a third in trios? lol. I think i've played a few ranked games with friends, but it was all of a sudden in the double digits with tons of damage and kills.
-Enable 2 step authorization .
EA doesn't care, I'm sure they just believe you'll spend money on another account. Hey, perhaps they're the ones doing it, or giving the login information to their friends? Selling accounts on the side. They made over 100 dollars off of me for product I no longer have access to.
Just really ticked me off that it happened after I treated myself to a 40 dollar coin pack I barely got to spend. Honestly seems fishy.
Well good luck guys, have fun. Games are good, but support needs to do better, especially when you're dealing with people's money.
Hey @00000llllliiiii if there is a ban on your account theny you will need to speak to our Terms of Service team.
If you have raised an appeal with our team then the best thing to do is to give the team time to investigate and respond.

- For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.

- Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.
In relation to your post, if you have not already then I would recommend taking a look at our account security articles so as to ensure that your account is secure and no one else can gain access to it: https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/account/how-to-maintain-account-security/
