Roughly 50% of pub lobby is masters????

Today was my first time playing during season 12. I was shocked.


Apart from my first game with only a few diamond trails, I have had an extreme abundance of premade 4k/20kill/masters/pred dudes in my lobby. I wish I was exaggerating but it has NEVER been this bad! These were almost pure masters lobbies. Once I spectated the triple stack masters who were then killed by another triple stack. And then there's me, having only a few 2k dmg badges. So, has the playerbase died off so much that I'm mainly getting top tier players, or has +/- 50% of the playerbase suddenly obtained the masters rank? Or am I just being screwed?

Your matchmaking system is so incredibly unfair, it is unreal. It is so unfortunate because this game can be a true gem when treated fairly. But honestly, right now, there is no place for me in this game. Impossible to enjoy it this way. I don't even know if the devs realise this.

    Nah not close to 50% but a single premade duo of two preds, even ex-masters is enough to stomp most other squads in a public lobby.. Also, old S1-S3 master trails and badges are actually comparable with todays platinum players in terms of skill and 4k also means very little nowadays.. I dont claim that pub lobbies are forgiving for below-average players, but its not that bad either. Seems quite random to me tbh: a couple of bad players, a couple of good players and many average players, i.e normal distributed just like the player skill distribution of the player base.

    I would be fine if I had itz Timmy in my lobby, as long as I could actually have decent footstep audio!
