Well, I don't think you get into cheaters' area that fast.
First, there's an urban legend on cheating, but the game is actually fast and sometimes we just don't believe what we see.
Second, I'd say much more is just about unfair in this game, as you can still script your moves. It the game didn't even allow clients to have moves different than strafing, walking running and jumping, possibly bouncing on walls, that would be enough. But for the moment the game is just a bug exploit fest where you get to bind automatic scripts to your keys, use mousewheels to move instead of having anything practical (which is as relevant as using mouse movements to shoot), and abusing the physics engine, which is kinda inherited from the Source Physics engine of HL².
What I know is that, regardless of the reason why, it just shouldn't be possible to have anyone with no custom profile, no special skin, no rare+ skin, default legend config and a badge of level 35 win in a Gold + lobby. That raises a concern.
Also, the reasons for reporting are so unclear they need a post topic here to explain it again. The most common cheat is wall hack, and you can't see it work if you don't ghost players before, and after that they just stop using it for a few seconds, cause they simply wait for a few seconds to activate it again, and you won't notice it while ghosting.
What just gets frustrating is that progression is not linear. It's bumpy and always creates that wall, which happens at platinum IV.
I wonder actually if Master shouldn't have a IV III II I rank as well, with the system I build, using the same points.
