SBMM complainers...So how would your SBMM work then?

I am just interested to see what all you complainers really want. 9/10 posts basically just say "SBMM is broken FIX IT" and not much more, which just makes them random whining tbh.

So for the sake of the argument,  lets assume that the ranked distribution gives a good estimation how "skill" is distributed  among the player base.  Its not a perfect model, I admit that, but it is pretty much the only estimation we have.

  • Bronze: 17.76%

  • Silver: 26.23%

  • Gold: 36.25%

  • Platinum: 17.75%

  • Diamond: 1.89%

  • Master & Apex Predator: 0.12%

So for every 100 players that press "Ready" to start  queueing for a game, approximately

  • 18 will be bronze level,
  • 26 will be silver level
  • 36 will be gold level
  • 18 will be platinum level
  • 2 will be diamond level
  • not even 1 predator level, more like 1/1000.

So how would this SBMM gonna create lobbies, based on this?  How would you suggest it does it? How would these match lobbies look like? GO! =)

  • @Balladalidila KD ratio based system.

A top tier player, smurf or not will not put in the work to ruin their KD ratio to drop to an easier lobby.

New accounts would have a 10 game grace period or something close to that. After those initial games you are then grouped based on your KD ratio. There would be ratio groupings that could migrate one way or the other slightly based on total players and updated kd ratios, maybe updated weekly.

So say a pro makes a smurf account, plays 10 games and destroys. Gets 20 kill badge and 4k blah blah, well that's all the "fun" they get as a smurf.

Now you have to play with the big dogs, or be a pathetic skin suit and quit the account..or make a new one. Or throw 20+ games or more to get your KD ration down again. Too much work for most skin bags.
  • @E9ine_AC Level is 90% a measure of playtime. Playtime does not always mean skill, and sbmm shouldn't take playtime into account after your first 10 or so games.

@Westhebird Well play time is a factor. To reach level 500 is quite some mission to achieve thus making one spend more time in game playing gaining more experience.
