Sbmm is broken
I understand not wanting to scare off new players by feeding them to the wolves immediately, but the sbmm algorithm you guys have implemented is absolutely terrible. It's made the game a sweat fest o...
Put in solos and give THAT skill based match making. I feel like people who want to get better on a per game basis would flock to solos, rather than squads. (simply due to the fact that not having two random players is reassuring.)
The system they have in now anyways isn't that great. It's done wonders for player retention supposedly (https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/apex-legends-dev-confirms-sbmm-explains-why-its-actually-more-popular-1291411) but whatever it's using as a basis for "skill" doesn't feel like it's working. If it's been here since the end of season 2, that means I should be playing with similarly skilled players for the entirety of this season. Yet on a per-game basis I rarely play with people who beat me in damage (AKA the most important stat aside from accuracy.)
@ClutchT0MCAT I don't think shooting downed targets count for damage. I don't know for certain though, but to me at least, damage is the most important stat aside from accuracy. I feel like SBMM should be based on your total damage across all characters divided by your total games across all characters.
Please fix or remove SBMM, it's frustrating and I believe it's one of the reasons that many players leaves during the match...
