Season 17 Rank Dead?
As the title states itself I feel like this season playing rank is not worth it anymore and it's almost coming to the point where I have say that Rank is dead or it needs to be removed. This season has already been out for almost two and a half weeks and the negative feedback I listen to about rank keeps piling on.
I recently played with a random Top 400 Predator in rank and may I remind the devs and the community that this Season I'm in Bronze or Sliver rank and yet I found myself playing with more High Plat to Top 500 Pred players in high game lobbies make that make sense. So I got the chance to ask this player how you feel about rank 3.0? This player commented "Most of my games don't feel like pred lobbies. Almost 60-80% of games feels like a walk in the park, while the 20-33% of my games feels like the lobbies I should be playing in and I'm solo queuing so I don't know." Another player I asked before the game when we were queuing up for I ask the same question and this commented "Even though they turned off the ability to see where other players ranked at or ranked in it doesn't stop us from seeing where our teammates are ranked in. There are two ways of doing this 1) You can get kill in game to see your teammates ranked at on the top right corner of the screen or 2) Visted your last teammates profile and you get an idea what type of lobby you are in. This creates a negative effect compared to rank 2.0 and I already see it happening and I've done it myself it starts off as wild fire it starts off small and then it grow bigger and bigger. I've already thrown more of fair share of games and sabotage them and I just didn't care. I even left games by purposely disconnecting, but I never ddosed. I already had teammates and played against other players in half of my games who done the same thing including ddosing. Players are already exploiting the rank system and rank right now with these stupid spots on the maps that needs to be patched. Like rank before was fun because Gold felt like Plat and Plat felt like a 50/50 where games either felt like Plat or felt like Diamond lobbies. It was preparing me for the next rank and for what's to come despite the player base or the community it doing thousands of times it gets more intensified the higher we climb. It's not that anymore. It doesn't have the same feel to it."
