@E9ine_ACI'm just not feeling it so far with S20. Not S14 Hunted bad, but pretty bad.
The changes seem to benefit better players and premades over new players, lesser skilled players, & solo queue players. For me, it makes the issues with matchmaking and anti cheat even worse. These players need a shield advantage to level the playing field in most matches and now that element of RNG is gone. Couple that with a more complicated shield upgrade and perk system to learn and all these teams are at a further disadvantage.
My experience as a solidly average solo queue player so far this season has been pretty horrible. The game is skewing even more towards pros and sweats and away from the average player, IMO. I just can't imagine how or why a brand new Apex player would stick around at this point. @E9ine_AC Players like you still have a bit of a movement to the gun, so its a bit easier to tell that you're controlling it. This guy had zero movement. The gun was perfectly still and they were snapping to other players in all directions instantly.
They weren't flicking the gun or anything like that, they were automatically locking onto players. It became obvious when in one of the kill feeds, I saw them kill a player, then they snapped to me while I was behind a wall and tracked me perfectly, shooting a moment later when I came out from cover.
They were a Pathfinder and the only one who was near me at the time, from what I can tell.
Guns like the R-301 and Flatline, I don't question the recoil as much when I see players barely having any, but guns like the R-99, I question when they can shoot at any distance and not miss a single shot, especially when they're snapping to players so quickly, that there's no way it was humanly possible.
I have Been playing only arenas/mixtape so many season but now i forced to play straight shot but Ots kind of fun. And console servers Are so Bad cause too many players so mixtape IS kind of unplayable. There is always one player that cant Be hit and he hits every shot. I have Been that player. In one round you cant miss Even If you want and next round u cant hit anything.

I think you're well over exaggerating on a whole new game there mate. I've been playing since day 1 also and I can see good improvement this season and can also see they're trying to change things up. I guess some people will just complain for the sake of complaining though.
The changes are especially awful solo que. To the point I don't think I'd I'll be playing this game without a squad anymore. It took me awhile to realize exactly what I disliked but I think rushing uncoordinated fight in white shields just isn't fun.
Maybe part of it is the match making but steady match making is an awful thing to rely on in this game. It's been awful in its own right for 2-3 seasons now. 20 matches in a row for me was some variation of drop>random runs off and picks a stupid fight, goes down instantly, then its 2v3 and in white shields, you're nearly dead before you know what hit you. It reminds me of Rampart's season (S6?) when they lowered bar per shield tier. This has been the worst apex experience since then.
On another note: It's a BR, looting is a big part of it, luck is and will still be a big part of it, there was already a way to more quickly "earn" a higher tier shield in place, I don't find anything wrong with being able to loot better shields (especially off killing someone, like you kind of earned it? that's the point of BRs) and frankly find it a weird thing to suddenly try to control strictly. We can have perks without this trash shield change there's absolutely zero reason they needed to be tied to them.
Bonus rant: Love how leaving gives me a death now when half my solo que matches are some variation of dropping solo away from the team and dying, or leaving the second they push a dumb fight, get downed and leave themselves, or when I load in totally by myself. Now lets punish the rest of the team for it instead of letting us move on and hope we don't get a glue eater that doesn't know how to click no fill or the game naturally gives no teammates. If the devs want COD-wannabe gameplay stick it in a different mode and stop trying to make BR that.1/10 Update as someone who plays solo que about 50 percent of the time. I can't imagine how trash this update is for people who only solo que.
love the update so far , it's like playing apex legend 2.
new armor system / matchmaking / ranked system is better than ever and i can finally play again with my noobs friends without getting murdered by 3stacks pred everygame.had lost any hope in respawn but this season is a Massive W so far.
Do yall feel like the sensitivity is off this season, I play on mnk and I felt it to fast so when I thought someone turned my sens up but it was the same.
much prefer the new armour system, having it as floor loot got ridiculous
Well straight shot IS Bad now. So its only three stacks holding hands and playing IT like its ranked. Back to mixtape Solo q. And The servers Are so crowded that IT feels *. Sluggish, AIM feels iffy. But hey its The same always when season or event starts. And yeah EA never does anything to The servers
That's not true - I am not complaining for the sake of it. I am voicing my concern because the gameplay has shifted so dramatically that I went from a somewhat capable player to being an absolute burden to any team I am paired with.
I've got no problem with new content or slight switch-up to things, but this is dramatic. Doesn't even resemble the gameplay of old. It has taken all player styles, negated the ones they didn't "like", and indicated that everyone HAS to play the same style of game whether it suits them or not.
Previous, you may have been with a team that preferred to load up in an undropped area to start, hang back, snipe, run the ring game. Now if you don't get engaged and get some kills early there's no chance. In tandem, this has absolutely minimized or negated the effectiveness of some legend classes.
The whole release is a thorough disappointment - at least for some. The season will end with the sweaties moving somewhere else because they are bored or frustrated (either content doesn't change enuf or they can't pull the kills they used to) and the balance of us (who are perhaps not necessarily true run-and-gunners) having left because our gameplay is no longer accommodated.
Just imagine you dropped your car off for fixing and got it back only to find out you are now completely limited to a speed limit, or someone switched the gas and brake. For some of us, it's that dramatic.
