You are noob! If you dont pick your role manually, rather than waiting for timer to wears, it will give you lower priority for being jumpmaster. In conclusion, Bigger chances are to you be jumpmaster if you pick role manually!
Pro tip: the third player to select is jumpmaster by default to give them some kind of kickback for being last to choose their legend. The only thing that changes this is if they do not manually select, in which case they are registered as inactive and the role goes to the SECOND person to select. If this person also registered as inactive, then it goes to the FIRST person to select, and if (finally) they have also registered as inactive it stays with the 3rd player in the team. If you want to be jumpmaster, make sure you always manually select because people often let it register an inactive role select even while they are present.

- Sick of noobs thinking they are "pros" just because teammates doesn't want to die in first few seconds of game start. Usually these "pro" players hotdrops 1 vs 6 and dies instantly just to call everyone else noob and disconnects even without waiting for respwan. While "noob" players play smarter and are the last team to join and wipe rest of the survivors while they loot. A lot of wana be twitch stars..
