"And how are they going to prevent that better players will start new accounts to go into noob lobbies to slay out?"
They will not, but it will at least reduce the stomping. Since the veteran play will skyrocket through the ranks.
And while i don't think a ladder clearly splitting players in various ranks is bad. Stopping streamers that play 12 hours a day being matched against noobs lvl 1, like happened in that pathetic "rivals" event, would be a great start.
I would consider myself above average, but i have friends that are just starting to play on PC and seeing them get stomped by players with rank 60 with over 1k of kills isn't fun. They complain and they have the right to complain. Because at this point they aren't even playing the game, they are just moving targets so other people look good.
That story of "how they will learn then?" is said by people that either don't know * about the game and want easy kills or people that doesn't understand skill progression.
You learn something from people that are slightly above you. Not from people are so high that you don't even understand what they are doing or talking about.
In a more real world situation; saying they will learn something from getting stomped by these players is the same as giving a trigonometric exercise to a kid that just learned addition and expect the kid to learn something from it. That's not going to happen.
PS: it's the third time that i'm posting this and the forum isn't showing my message. If for some reason i got triple post; you know why.
The best streamer content imo is the funny moments when they find some big noobs.
And I mean seriously how many players are at level 60 with 1k kills? The majority is always going to be the casual gamers. I’ve only played the game for about 2-3 days and already got a few wins. And the times that I got wrecked by some crazy good player are few (usually I just make bad desicions) and is it just me who think it’s kinda exciting to face these god players. Everyone always has a chance. And if you actually manage to win that fight - what a great feeling.
It’s just a game.

that's why i'm saying it should have a split but not a ladder.
players lvl 1 should be pitted against player lvl 30 at best. He will still get stomped by someone better than him but he will think "well i should have done X instead of Y".
Now when a lvl 1 gets wingmanned while sprinting by someone 100 meters away. what he will learn? He literally don't know what hit him. There's nothing to learn there.
I'm okay facing people like Dizzy, i killed him once and i'm Fing proud of it, that Fing basterd, but when he is bashing lvl 1 players. That's just straight unfair and shouldn't happen.(I'm level 51 by the way)- 6 years ago
I wouldn't be proud of beating someone who only plays broken wraith with her tiny hit box with a broken wingman. Hes good at the game he should be like shroud and refuse to use the wingman.

@h5mf0vcnd32w So you have no counter arguments, just "streamers need content from stomping noobs". Also, having matchmaking will make the game more challenging, fairer and more exciting. "Casual" streamers will be playing against casuals as well. So you're confirming having matchmaking is better.
- 7 years agoWho are these “casual streamers”? If you play and stream the game every day you will probably not be so casual for long.
I thought I was arguing but maybe I wasn’t...- 7 years ago
They're obviously hardcore, but also the type of people that drop thousands into the game on cosmetics. That's why it's important for Respawn to cater to both casual and hardcore players.

The matchmaking is bad
