This is probably the only (sub)genre I disagree with that. And I am the casual that's going to be free food for the people who practice.
@SugoiBuruSera You have the right to your opinion, but not giving any objective arguments holds no weight.

That's why I specified the genre. BR. I don't mind the variety in skill in the giant BR battleground. It kinda transfers the atmosphere of what would a "real" br be. That's what I meant with my post. The notion of br to me isn't the same as a basketball game or as a quake tdm, for example.
I like there can be notion of "that scary squad you don't want to meat" in a game like this. You are basically trying to survive and depending on your abilities in general, you'd go differently about it. For example, I am not exactly the best player, so I'd drop in a remote area and try to slowly go through the map, timidly engaging people I meet. Some full on "pro" squad might drop deliberately in a hot zone and try to massacre anyone.
I don't know, I see appeal in it, like in the movie... or for example, hunger games.
It's not the same to have varied skilled players in Apex Legends and in, say, Overwatch. It's way less confined, a lot more players are participating etc.
