Skill based matchmaking
Apex needs skill based matchmaking based on average kd and win ratio. Playing ranked is no longer fair because you have people who were predator last season now playing in a bronze lobby therefore it...
You dont seem to get what I mean so lets not even go there.. Lets just say that I am fairly sure that such SBMM wouldnt create better lobbies =)
Yeah your right i had no idea i couldn’t understand what your were trying to say ahah.
Ok, I will try to explain anyways =)
I play 90% of my matches as a solo with randoms. These are my stats 2.4 K/D after 4910 something games and a winrate on 7.9% .
Lets imagine that they implemented your version of SBMM: I would get matched with players with similar K/D around 2.4.Do you think I would be able to maintain that K/D in those games? 60 players, all with approximately 2.4 K/D. No, I would most likely end up with an average K/D of 1 after "many" games. And this would be the case for ALL players, regardless of current K/D. By definition, if you get matched with players exactly the same skill as you, you will most likely end up with an average k/d around 1; if you play smart and really tryhard, maybe a little more than 1 and if you play super reckless, drunk and tired, maybe a bit less than 1.
So what I am trying to say is that skill is relative and your K/D is NOT an independent variable that is an absolute measurement of your skill; its heavily dependent on the skill level of your competition.
SBMM only really works when the population is high. Apex is haemorrhaging players so SBMM is struggling to put lobbies together. Unfortunately this is the fact all dying BR games need to deal with. They require 60+ players to start a game. Games like CSGO can go decades because even when player population dips they can put games together.
