Smurfs is big problem.

I sick of playing against smurfs. This is a BIG problem for this game. This situation is annoying. Respawn, please take care this situation. Because this game is not fun anymore. Stop create allow multi account from same IP adress. Limit account creating their IP adressess.

Hey @iPyromix, besides the fact that it is a pretty trivial matter to change an IP address to get around theoretical limitations like this, limiting account creations based on IP address would also affect perfectly legitimate situations like family members, roommates, college dorms, and so on. This in particular is fairly unlikely to change.

That said, one change we have made recently was to update the available reporting options in-game. Keep in mind that sometimes people just have a good game so performing well doesn't automatically make someone a smurf, but if you do run into a player that you feel is clearly in that category, there's now a reporting option for that situation.

@iPyromixThe real solution to this is to automatically rank up players that have a high K/D ratio so their smurfs don't go down to gold or silver every split. Have a maximum downgrade from your highest rank.
I am really fed up with it too, I grind up to gold 4 then have good games playing gold for a couple of days grinding halfway to gold 3 but then suddenly since friday I only have very bad games where my team lose almost everytime the first fight feels like we are playing against diamond 4 players smurfing I lose ALL my gold points and now feel stuck. I then go on twitch to watch some popular streamers and see; nokokopuffs is playing plainum 4... what?? Yeah of course he's smurfing he was pred. I can only imagine if a streamer openly smurfs then all the other players that are stuck diamond 4, master , plat 4 they all go smurfing after a couple of weeks of grinding and they come here destroying our games while we were already grinding slowly. Rank is supposed to be about playing against similar skilled players... not against higher skilled smurfing players. We need a fix to that asap and we have the solutions.

The reset is completely unfair and stupid.
Why should a platinum player ever get put back into silver lobbies? It unfair.
Even arenas has placement matches. Which is how EVERY OTHER RANKED PLAYLIST IN ANY OTHER GAME DOES IT.
The reset only exists to give sweaty players easy games to get 20 kills and free wins. Players don't get worse, that is not how video games work.
The reset in battle royale in unfair. Only high level players think its fair.

@Kateh8sapex Agree, they could also go for a permanent ranking that's not locked to a number of points or to a level except for maybe masters and preds who can accumulate unlimited amount of points. You could have the 750 best players being preds, the next 5 000 being masters, the next 15 000 being diamonds, the next 30 000 being platinum, the next 60 000 being gold, the next 60 000 being silver and all the rest being bronze. You could let players grind as many points as they can but still be in their own skill based rank. The split would simply put you back at the bottom of your own rank... not a single tier lower.

The only way to get rid of most smurfers (and other cheaters) are to add more verification steps to the registration process.
If you have to verify the account with both email and phone, you'd have to burn a new number for each smurf account.
Preferably you should be required to verify your identity social security numbers as well, but I know that's quite hard to implement across borders.
If they only allowed self-hosted servers we could develop third-party matchmaking sites that could solve all these issues.

Respawn must be sitting on loads of data that could be used to easily determine if a player is smurfing.
But, the question is; Do they want to?

Just say y'all aren't going to do anything about the smurfs. Don't try to make it sound like y'all are going to actually do anything about them. EA is nothing but money grabbing * and we know it.
