@CocoaHyena I'm not disagreeing with you but why does she need one?
How do you play Maggie? What's her role in a team?
- @heme725 They made a statement about newcastle saying they want to release characters strong to shake up the meta, get them a lot of play, and nerf them if needed.
Maggie has been underwhelming, very similar to when Fuse was released. And he needed a couple buffs to get him to be usable in any competitive way. And there's no way you can say shes anywhere near as strong as Fuse is. Her pick rate is low.
Imo, she just needs 3 things:
1. Her cooldowns reduces, especially for the riot drill
2. When using a scope, 2x, 3x, whatever, you need to be able to see where the drill is aiming (it falls off below the sights and is impossible to be accurate with)
3. Her Ult is clunky, sometimes you throw it, it bounces twice and then all of a sudden just blows up out for no reason
Now. If she got a little buff she'd be a really fun and more useful character - @davkin09 If you understand team roles then I shouldn't need to explain that she's an Entry Fragger.
She can breach doors and buildings, collect information on teams bunkered inside (shield levels, characters, etc)
She can combat Gibby domes, rampart and newcastle walls with her riot drill. She can disrupt the use of cover. She can rotate a team with her ult as well as blow someone off their positioning. She's got a lot of potential if she wasn't so underpowered. Does her passive to spot the enemy work for her riot drill as well?
YES PLZ - want to make her bit batter - 2 drills less cooldown , ball should do more dmg! ball should jump up on ground and move on!!! - now its stumbles on any little rock and roll back in my face.
- @davkin09 Yeah it does! Which is super useful to see what direction someone is moving off of cover when they get stuck by it
Hmm okay.
I guess the thing is with Maggie it's not clear to the average player what her job is.
Throw the ball to get some movement speed and use the drill for people behind cover.
There's obviously more to it but it takes some getting used to her.
More of a skilled player choice perhaps especially with the shotguns passive.
I'd like to give her a try I guess I'd like to know a few ways of using her.
- @davkin09 I think she does take some skill. But, without a buff she is almost unplayable in any sort of higher tear Ranked or competitive matches
so - THE BALL - ball should do more dmg when hit and on explotion. ball cool down should be faster. stun effect should be more heavy. ball should jump up and over the obstacles and roll up stairs. THE DRILL - drill should do more dmg when hit people directly when it fly. and shuold be longer in its fire size. cool down should be faster or - give her 2 drills like fuse have.
