As much as this game works flawlessly in trios. The whole idea of ending up with 1 or 2 random who fail to communicate, makes it not fun. I'm down for gaming with random people. However, you have to agree that everyone wishes to game with their friends more. Right? There's also the casuals who come on for a game and just want to jump in and have a game as a solo player.
Think about the idea if adding these. I understand the idea of the respawns, and retrieving your team mates cars to spawn them back in. However, those feature don't have to be removed. They just become void in the map. Especially on a solo queue.
This is good not just for your game. But for the lifespan of the community and making this game as great as it can be, and to keep a large following in the foreseeable future.
I get annoyed when some people try to scare the devs/community by saying, “this game will fail if they don’t add/change this.”
This is a rare occasion where I have to say that this game will struggle in the long run without solo/duos. We’re literally on day 2 and I’m getting game after game of BS teammates.

Are some of you really that dumb to not know why this game is a 3 man Squad game? It's a TEAM BASED Hero Battle Royal shooter.
I know you guys are used to other BR games having a solo or duo queue but this game is more like OverWatch.

If you don't want to play with other people you technically don't have to. Just don't say anything or drop down alone, but you will be at a serious disadvantage.
Also there are other BR games that you can play that has a solo queue. Lets allow this game to find it's own niche instead of you all try to change and make like other BR games.... geesh the game has literally been out two days.
And lets say if they did make a Solos/duo mode.. how in the hell would they balance it?

This game is fun maybe 10% of the time playing when I don't have 2 friends on. If it paired you with players of similar skill maybe it would be better. This alone is reason for a solo game. Do they only want people to have fun playing when they have 2 people they can squad with? I don't have fun when my teammates die in the first engagement 95% of the time. I really hope this is not the intent of the developer. You mention overwatch... It has skill based mm. If it didn't I wouldn't play it. They need skill based mm and/or a solo and duo mode.
