2) I assume you've done the necessary research into market potential to make such as baseless claim that the game will fail without solo/duos. Respawn have said that they wanted to break conventions of Battle Royale and all you want is to make into all of the others.
3) Where are these tweets? Someone else has already asked this and you haven't provided any evidence? I did my own research and found no evidence of any mention of solo or duo play.
If you don't want to play in a trio and don't have others to play with then don't play it. No game can be designed to suit everyone.
But what is the problem with implementing solo/duo. Will it hurt anyone?
From the videos I have seen there is really no reason its 3 man teams only. Each of the legends work just fine on their own. I only know about 5 people that would even give a BR game a chance and 3 of them wont touch it until it has solo's . Not saying this is the normal percentage , I am sure there are well over a million people that are fine with teams of 3 . But if 3 out of 5 people plus myself wont play it without solo's I would imagine Repsawn is missing out on alot of potential customers by not adding such a simple and basic feature. Not very smart business wise.
Yes it will. It will Hurt respawn and the market they are trying to draw in.
The game will also become broken. The kits for each legend is designed to be balanced by being placed into squads. They have already said this.Secondly this isnt the only game the forces team play. Overwatch forces you into a team of 6. Left 4 dead forced you into a team of 4. Counter Strike you have to play on a team and so does Team Fortress. These games demand team play.
If you dont like playing any of these games then you probably wont like this game.
It is so stupid to compare a Battle Royale with games like Overwatch, Counter Strike, Left 4 dead and Team Fortress.
If you're going to have an argument in a discussion , you gotta think at least a little, otherwise you're gonna look like an idiot.
If they add solos , OF COURSE THEY GONNA HAVE TO CHANGE SOME MECHANICS, that's so obvious. And what market are they trying to draw in exactly by just putting one game mode?
They are doing exactly the opposite, I guarantee you that at least 30 % of the game initial base will leave in the first month because of unhappiness with the lack of options to play.
Implementing Solos and Duos will 100% hurt the Groups mode, and that's kinda Apex's thing.
All of the respawn and downed mechanics all go out of the window when you play in solo as there is nobody to revive you, what's the point in Mirage's passive or Lifeline's even?
The game is built for group play. That's probably the way it'll stay.
Duo's might happen, but vanilla solos are unlikely to happen.
I'm sure the team at Respawn have some ideas in the works but we'll just have to wait and see them.

@Kehninja Solo seems like an odd mode to even ask for in this game. It's basically suggesting they should abandon Apex and make a game entirely new. The pinging and knockdown system becomes pointless and some of the Characters need to have their abilities adjusted.
Personally I don't care either way about Solo play but I'll be bored if they don't add another game mode I'm interested in. If they choose to put their time into Solo instead of a new team oriented game mode then I'll lose interest.
To put it simply its best to make the next game mode squad based if most of the community cares about team play. Its better to scrap the concept of Apex and basically rewrite the game if most of the players want a Solo game mode. Creating a game mode for the minority (whether that minority is for squad play or solo play) will just leave the majority to abandon the game. Seems like they're considering Solo while testing out other game modes before making a choice. I see no reason to be impatient.
