Solos and Duos are needed

I'm personally looking forward to solos and duos being added. Fortnite has squad-based game modes, but also has solo and duo modes for those who want to play alone or with a single friend as backup. Also to point out, a lot of legends that you pick in the select screen tend to have some personal quotes aimed at possibly going solo in the match; not to mention the kill quotes. I think it makes sense to add these modes.

This kind of addition only brings more people into the game, which will eventually bring more people into the squad ques. A net benefit for all, since as it's been said, all EA cares about is making money off the game, and if they're making money, the game gets to stay. Which is something I'd prefer.

It's not like people playing solo or duo won't play squad at all either, they just will play what they like about the game more. Which keeps the game alive, which keeps everyone happy!
In general, trying to please everyone is not how you make a game that lasts - it's more like how you create a fad that you quickly cash in on and throw into the trash. Quantity only keeps players for so long, quality is what can keep them forever. My understanding is that the majority of people that want solos are the ones that can't be bothered to find 2 people to play with (that you don't have to be friends with) in an age of internet where you don't even have to get your * off your seat to do that. Not to mention that just learning how to behave can make a big difference to your experience with randoms. If they can't be bothered to make that effort they wont be bothered to learn what the devs meant the game to be and how to appreciate it for what it is. Especially the ones that go screaming with all these threats like plenty of people in this thread, not even able to form an argument, just laughable. And yet they expect the game to be changed for them. This kind of low-effort casual crowd is not the kind of crowd you build a lasting audience with. Nor do I wish them to be part of the game's community, I'm happy to see them go. Most of them will move to the next thing as soon as it appears anyway.
There are a lot of games that let you do whatever you want. Apex is the first BR that doesn't feel like a random experiment and does seem to have a solid vision behind it. In PUBG, whenever devs add/change something, they may have TPP in mind, or maybe FPP. Squads, or solos or maybe duos. Erangel map, Miramar, or the smaller Sanhok or snow-covered Vikendi. Regular settings or competitive. A lot of the time it feels as if they have no reasoning at all. The whole game ends up feeling like a bunch of random stuff. It's sort of a sandbox type of game and it's fine if messing around with things is what you seek. Yes I get it that sometimes you just want to do what you want and not care about any teammates, but there are a freaking tons of games where you can do that! And the ones that are designed around solo play tend to be better at that than Apex will ever be. But multiplayer games that are solidly thought-out and balanced are very rare and arguably are the only ones capable of lasting forever. This one has a chance to be like this.

Sure it might cut into the squad player base, but if there is no one to play at all, then a cut in the player base is going to be the least of our worries.
This is the doom argument again. It does not make sense. If the game that's designed to be a class-based team game is doomed without a solo mode then it is doomed period. And if solo mode is somehow the saviour then it should be the only mode available and the whole game should be remade around that.
@2deski I want a solo mode so I can play aggressively and improve my aim and try stuff out without ruining it for two other people, thankyouverymuch.
It is so wrong to shove everything onto the "they are to lazy to make friends" wha t if i know 50 people who play this game i game with them for years but our playstyles are so different it works against each other so if we would be honest in that situation playing together isn't the best choice just like the fact that i am forced to play with randoms everytime they are not available and than we come to how 90% of randoms in this game play and that is stealing loot and running away if you need help i have games i get 8 kills in first 5 min but am 1 hp so i heal i turn around and both my squadmates who have yet to fire a bullet are all purple and they litterly don't leave a single bullet or cell behind only to see them instantly die 2 sec later because they triple checked the same chest and got shot even though i was pinning and shooting the enemy .
I assume from the way you talk about personal experience in the game you are a casual player at best almost every higher player i know only runs across maps and we only take what we need if they where matched together than randoms would be okay but with the playstyle i have most lower level players just can't keep up most of the games i win in randoms my teammates did 700 damage together and yet they steal everything for some reason the only thing they can accomplish is turbo stealing
There are so many reason why a battle royale game needs solo duo to survive longer than 2 months because the players who are 80 or higher now are only bothered by bad teammates it's nothing against them and wouldn't be a problem if there where solo duo but since the good and bad are forced to play with each other people will get extremely annoyed if this keeps up so next time you right such a long sht pile of how people are to lazy to do efforts maybe try looking from your eyeholes instead of out ur * and think about why people want solo duo there are so many reason and all you can do is write a insane long shtpile over lazyness of players and bad manners what all have the least meaning in the disscudisc over solo duo so try and use an argument that actually matters not a lousy attitude crap has mothing to do with it if your brain can't comprehend in short
People get bad manners because they are forced to play with people thay can't enjoy playing with wow there goes ur 2 hour thinking all gone in smoke

And finding people you like to play with is not an option, because..? Just right here on these forums, there's a whole section for people looking for teammates. Not to mention you can just add randoms you liked. Nobody is shoving everything onto "they are to lazy to make friends". I alone provided a whole host of arguments against adding solos in this thread.

See, you just completely fail to realize that it is you who are the problem. What were you doing fighting there alone before your teammates were ready to follow or even agreed to? Guess what, they were alive and you were dead, making them better players than you. You are the most toxic kind of player, you are the main reason playing with randoms is not always that great, you are the one who assumes that all he does is right even when all the rest of his team disagrees. You invent stupid complaints such as that they are stealing your loot. What the hell are you even talking about? Should they all wait until your majesty gets all you need? Should they leave stuff behind just in case your majesty would need it? If you haven't heard, this game has a great ping system, learn how to bloody use it. If there is something you need, ammo, shields, meds, you can ping it and your teammates will give it to you if they have some to spare. Leaving loot behind just in case is pure stupidity if you don't have any knowledge on what anyone needs. You can ping your ammo once if you could use some (something every reasonable person does when running an energy gun btw), ping it twice in a row to let people know you really need it. People can often even give you their only scope if their are ok without it such as with shotguns or guns with OK ironsights. Unless you act like a total as*hole of course, in which case it's not surprising nobody cares about your needs. I've had a game where a dude jumped solo from the start, died alone as they usually do, and then after we came and wiped the squad that killed him he jumped on his mic and complained about us taking his loot, with a remarkably self-righteous attitude at that, as if we were ever going to respawn the selfish ba_stard (edit: jeez the censorship system on this forums is nuts). You know, you sound just like that kind of guy.

Of course you assume that I'm a noob casual, it's fairly obvious you assume that of just about anybody who doesn't play like you. Since levels seem to be important to you, I'm level 100 and most of the time I play with low level players just fine as long as they don't hot drop. In fact the ones that usually mess things up are higher level selfish kill-hunters that judge players by the amount of damage per game like you.

Oh yes, all the poor people who are forced to play this game. Because there is nothing else in this world. What a joke.
You must get extremely lucky and play with the nicest and smartest people ever! The first couple weeks I had SOME ok teammates or was just up against people learning the game as most people were. Since then, MAYBE 10% of the time (that's being generous), I will get LUCKY and have teammates that don't die literally the very first fight we get into. I'm not a GREAT player but I am good and use strategy and skill. I almost never try to be the first to engage a fight unless I know I have a clear advantage and/or my teammates are close by. I have been brought back to life literally one time ever when playing with randoms. I'm a level 51. I can count on one hand (I may now need a 6th or 7th digit to count) the amount of times my teammates have done better than me when solo queueing. Maybe I am just realllllyyyy unlucky? Sometimes I will get nice teammates and people that mark items and such but that does not help them when it comes to fights. Either way, your experience seems very far off of mine. I love the game and the combat. I hate having no skill based matchmaking. This game, like overwatch, needs skill based matchmaking. And/or a solo and/or duo mode. I'm fine going up against skilled players when it's one on one. Having to rely on bot teammates against any even decent, not even good, 3 man queued squad is frustrating. Having to have friends on every time I want to play is also not an option everybody has all the time. If they want to people of all skill levels to hop on, play whenever they want and HAVE FUN they need to implement at least one of the things I mentioned.
Thats a real selfish attitude and quite a presumption.
I would like to vet players before I play with them. I want to play with people of my level. I'm not here to socialize, i just want to compete on even playing field. I went to the lfg forum. only two people replied, one of them sucked and one is never online.
I think we should be able to stay in same team with people we have a good match with. rather then automatically disbanding us. And also be able to add friends with a click from in the game. Not having screenshot peoples names, go to desktop and go to origin try to type their name and search someones profile. thats crazy.
At least keeping the group after a match we can play a couple more matches and really see if its someone we like to play with.
Most of my friends don't pc game. I'm American!! The pc gaming industry died over a decade ago. they probably wouldn't know wtf apex legends even is. Its not like I'm in school or college where everyone is playing this on xbox lol.
And with so many bad games. lets say I get one good match out of 30. Those people may not be looking for people to play with. They leave the match before I even have a chance to ask sometimes.
And as far as discord goes. I really don't think I should have to install a 3rd party tool, so even more trolls can be hacking my pc. Its 2019, discord is a huge security risk. What channels am I supposed to go to? I never even used discord before. I'm from teamspeak and ventrilo times lol. I'm supposed to put my pc at risk because the game doesn't support matches based on skill ranking?
Oh man, like every 7 out of 10 randoms are suicidal i swear lol
They get an mozambique while the other two got no gun yet and run in like they have rabies, playing with randoms is just frustrating.
Or when they're running away from you without marking anything like they got ants in their pants and die on the other side of the map.
Oh and if you dont try to res them, you're the *.
The other 3 randoms can be fun to play with though.
Still, probably not playing anymore until they add a solution to this problem.
