Good points here, giving these characters different abilities and passives are ok if the game was a hero shooter where abilities played a bigger role but at the end of the day your gun and accuracy is what wins games so you could pick any character and win games without using abilities if you're skilled enough which defeats the purpose of even picking different characters in the first place, having special perks depending on their class would make things like loadouts and team comps more meaningful
