Random matchmaking in casual and minimum required level of 50-60 for ranked would literally remove all incentives to smurf. Everything * we see now in the game, like bad Plat4 players who's real skill is more suited to low gold, and highly skilled smurfs in bronze or silver, happen because of Respawns way of designing this game.
@BabbediboopiI do want to see random match making again, Idk wth one of the last matches was that I played though but it Literally put Neenie on my team... Neenies a badass predator wraith with 400 wins and can solo pretty much every squad (i spectated him when he killed me about a month ago and he won solo) I dont understand why it put him on my team though if Im no wheres close to his skill level... almost felt like SBMM didnt exist lol maybe this is why I was on a major losing streak because I got promoted somewhere I didnt belong like a month ago, idk but the match didnt seem that bad until literally 3rd partied from every direction... we were in the middle of 5 squads so naturally me and my teammate got wrecked but Neenie stayed strong lol
- @FaIIenAngeI777 Time to adjust to the controls? First thing I do in every new game is check the control layouts and set them as familiar to me as possible, then I spend a good while in whatever practice range is available before jumping in to online matches.
I've been playing like that for more than 20 years and gotten so I'm pretty good right out the gate, you start banning alleged smurf accounts and I'd never be able to even start playing that game.@GanbanGremlinBeing familiar with the controls is one thing and dropping 20 kills 3-4k+ damage is another, no new player should be able to do that on there first few games unless for example they are a console main making the switch over to pc
when you see a level 15-30 with 250-350+ kills and a 20 bomb 3-4k you know sometimes up wether its hacks or someone smurfing and whichever the case neither should be tolerated and both deserve harsher punishments
- @TheApexLegendNub I agree I made a smurf. Level 10 gibby. 20 bomb 4k badge 286 kills. I have never smurf since that day. It felt horrible. It made me sit back and think of other seasons where it happen to me and still does today. Just ruins the experience for all possible new players coming to apex legends. This is a serious concern they need to think long and hard about on how to prevent it from happening or keep happening in the future.
