Steam Names

Force Steam names to be Origin names. AKA, if you're named User1 on Origin, and Username1 on Steam, it should force your name to be User1. This is for many reasons:

1) Steam names get away with more inappropriate names, and according to EA, this isn't allowed, yet Steam doesn't care.

2) Users can easily change their usernames and can't be reported as easily. I called someone out in-game for cheating, and their username was instantly changed, and I cannot find their original name on both Steam and Origin, and they were not a console player. Besides, the report system would be 100% easier if you can report the Origin account and not the Steam account, as there's no profile pulled up when reporting a Steam user for any reason.

3) Steam names are too long, and in many instances, they are distracting and get in the way.

    @Midnight9746 EA still can ban steam users from accessing apex. They don't so much get away with anything in that manor. As for filters they support tons of languages and for that a lot of nasty names can be made due to it could be a meaning differently in their language. I also feel there needs to be a link between the 2 stating this name is not allowed to be used in the game please select another.

    @E9ine_AC They really should add a profanity filter and do what you said where ‘’this username isn’t allowed please select another and there should also be a limit on how many characters the username can be because I have seen usernames that are basically a long sentence covering my screen spamming the killfeed, aslong as its not too strict... I remember back in Roblox days you would say ‘’green’’ and it would be tagged and I still don’t know why lol

    They should mainly just focus on cuss words, and a few racial slurs and leave it at that but people will always find ways around it and spell things incorrectly to get around the filters

    @TheApexLegendNub Its so unintelligent by EA/Respawn to ban players in such a grand scale post-choice instead of being proactive about it and add profanity filter and playername filter, but instead with their ridiculous profanity strictness they punish players. They probably found that people will still come back and buy the same skins so its the same cynical stuff that Facebook is doing treating people like sheep herding them around taking advantage in devious ways. EA: "Why dont we add an insane TOS profanity strictness and just ban people and earn those money things, thats a great idea, we make money AND we get rid of bad stuff, but indirectly steal from people and make their purchases have no value, but thats forgotten tomorrow right...". Most hated company.
