This part of the video is actually on the verge of being a scandal, for a "competitive" pvp shooter 2019. It takes me back to CS 1.6 back in the year 2000.
I guess it might be unfair to compare it to CS or Overwatch, since it must be less demanding for a 5v5 game. But PuBG seem to manage it better with 66% more players in a match. What respawn AT LEAST should do for all of us is to have some kind of prioritization during the matchmaking where they sort high ping players together.
What a joke this is being the person with high ping is terrible you literally die before you even know you are being shot. Respawns dumb server system makes the game impossible to play now. Because rather then wait for a game to fill with low ping players the game will dump you on a server on a different continent for quicker queue times. It's dreadful. Their server "selector" doesn't select anything it just shows pings and packet loss to different data centres. So rather then complain about laggers complain about the dumb people at respawn for not geolocking servers.
