Suggestions and requests regarding the Predator Master Rank matching system
I understand that Diamond level players are being included to reduce waiting times for matches.
However, in the long term, this will not only lead to a decrease in the number of players in the Predator Master rank range, but will also lead to a decrease in the number of people playing ranked matches, so it should be abolished as soon as possible. This is because Diamond and Platinum ranked players will have to wait until later in the season to play regular ranked matches.
This system is designed to encourage Diamond players to quit ranked matches, and is only a preferential treatment for Predator Master players, as it is a system designed to speed up matching for Predator Master players.
First of all, it would not be a fair ranked match to include a significantly lower rank in the Predator Master range (even if it were included, it would probably remain at Diamond I).
Second, including lower ranks would unduly raise the predator threshold, reinforcing the tendency to become a top ranker only after investing time.
Third, because players' ranks will fluctuate after the reset, including lower-ranked players would create an undue advantage for existing players who started at a higher rank. It's perfectly natural for players who performed well in previous seasons to achieve higher ranks after the reset. However, an undue advantage in rankings is no longer considered fair.
Fourth, if you're going to make players wait, make sure it's higher ranked players. This is one way to make ranked matches more fair. Don't take up the time of lower ranked players who want to climb the ranks in APEX.
I would like to suggest one way to speed up matching in Predator Master Rank.
Players who are currently active as professionals, or who have a clear intention to become professional and have a proven track record of doing so, should be able to play in the Predator Master rank without raising their rank. However, this should be based on the player's wishes and should not be done arbitrarily. It would be better to limit the time available to play at Predator Master Rank to one year or three months. This would create a more favorable environment for players aiming to become the best in the world, and would be the desired result.
That's all.
