TAKE SBMM OUT OF THE GAME
I’m just one person who doesn’t matter but take skill based match making (SBMM) out of the game, it makes it unplayable and unenjoyable. I can’t play the game with my friends because they torched in ...
@VLT_aFAre you aware that SBMM has been here for quite some time? It is not something new. All fps games have those try hards. Even in pubs. All fps games have smurfs even in pubs. Its rough at times but there at the moment just is no way to divert people making new accounts or putting try hard pants on.
SBMM does not in the slightest effect if the game is going to give you a teammate or not. That is most likely the bug thats been happening since No Fill option was added. Nor does sbmm decide it will give you 2 bad teammates because you are "so good:" That is not how it works in the slightest.
I’ve been playing video games for 10+ years so yes I’m fully aware SBMM has been around in multiple games. However, SBMM in apex didn’t used to be this bad until they changed their SBMM system. I’m saying take it out of the game completely because it sucks and makes it miserable for me and 90% of the players that play the game. What’s the point of having an unranked public match mode if it’s skill-based? That’s what ranked is for. My public matches are harder than my ranked games until I hit diamond. Why is that? Because of SBMM. And yes in fact the game does always give me 2 bad teammates because my stats balance theirs out, that’s how it works. Respawn have stated that’s the point to try to “balance” the lobbies but it doesn’t do that at all. I end up playing 3 stacks of sweats every. Single. Game. Which NEVER used to happen before. I’m also fully aware that yes you will have sweats in your lobby regardless of SBMM but the point is that 1/5 games I would play would have a lot of sweats. Now 1/3 of EVERY (emphasis here so you understand the 20% vs 100%) single one of my lobbies are filled with masters and other preds every. Single. Game. You’re gonna tell me that my level 62 teammate with 10 wins is gonna do anything against a triple stack pred team? Absolutely not. I’m also aware of the queue glitch since the fill teammates option was added, so to address that, yes SBMM does affect that as well, if it can’t fill the solo slots it takes high sbmm players and solo queues them, 9/10 of my duos games I don’t end up with a teammate and there is no way that glitch has a 90% consistency rate for everybody. My teammates that I got pred with also have this problem, my friends that play casually and aren’t very good DONT have this problem so there does seem to be a positive correlation between higher SBMM and getting thrown solo into duos games. If myself, and the majority of people I talk to werent having this bad of an experience why would I be here complaining about it in a forum?
@VLT_aFAs a former pred from season 3 who has put in more games then most in the world my experience is much different. I am not sure if its a regional thing as it tends to be a popular subject these days. I know on East Coast servers I a lot times get a mix of both. Lower levels or people cracked out of their minds in this game. My duo is also never not filled because the game thinks im good. It will not be filled when its having issues verse it thinking im to good to have people at my skill set.
I get what you’re saying, I’m just saying me and the guys I play ranked with have all had the same experience with SBMM and it hasn’t been good.
@E9ine_ACI’m on Eastern US servers and its just really random I can have a level 2 and 15 on my team and run into a team with 5-6k kils 3-4k kills and one with like 8k kills and Ive had games where the champion had 15-30k+ kills and other games where its my skill level or some level 100 with 50 kills
What I assume to be my ‘’skill level’’ is basically players with 2-2.5k damage, roughly 600-1200 kills, 30-50 wins, etc but I don’t have a main account so my kills are spread out Octane and Wattson have about 1000-1100k kills and then a few legends may have 600 kills and others only have like 200-400
basically 7-8k kills total so I’m fine if I see a player with about 5-10k kills but not when its a 3 stack and I have no chance
