It's not just because you are a predator. I'm only diamond and still every game I play my teammates are like lvl 100 who have no idea how to play the game and the enemies are always like three stacking preds or masters.
I'm seriously done with this game because it's such an unenjoyable experience.
It's all about the player retention. And my experience always has this similar "structure".
Step 1) Suddenly I perform very well because I'm in an easy lobby, and I win one or maybe even two games in a row.
Step 2) The next 5 - 15 games, you are put with very good players and you barely stand any chance.
Step 3) After that horrible streak, I get one or two epic teammates that carry me to victory. But I was the worst team member by far.
Step 4) I'm back to getting hard lobbies and being happy when I get 2 kills in one game.
After step 4, step 1 starts again, and so on...
And that is the circle of Apex Legends matchmaking. It also means I need to deal with the fact that around 80% of my matches will be me being fed to highly skilled players.
It feels like there is no inbetween. Also, the more hours I play, the longer step 2 gets. Because if you play long and often, the system can put you in harder lobbies without risking to lose you. I definitely get more enjoyable lobbies when I don't play that often, even when delivering the same performance.
- @chuckmynorris i didnt say its because im pred, i said that for people to understand that preds even have this problem and find it to be a huge issue, im not saying im the best player in the world either but when SBMM queues me with bad teammates exactly how you're describing, it makes the game unplayable and unenjoyable exactly as you said, but its not hard to get put into the highest skill base for SBMM, someone who has never even played ranked could be in the highest skill base for sbmm, hence increasing your chances of finding sweat 3 stacks in pubs, meanwhile your teammates are somehow useless for the majority of the lobbies you queue solo.
