In fights, try to play closer to your teammate if you want him to stay. Most people will stay at least to they get executed if they get knocked right beside you when you also are fighting the enemies. In my experience, most people, including me, will only leave if they feel that the teammates dont have my back.
For instance, if my team gets pushed to a close range 3v3 and I see that my randoms back off 10000 meters as soon as they lose 10 shield and starts popping shield cells, while I fend 1v3, I will most certainly leave if I get knocked. Same if I see that my random never engages an enemy until he sees that I go up and take most of the attention and enemy fire. Because in my book, you must always do your part in a 3v3 fight, both dmg wise and damage taken-wise and I just hate to play with people who dont do this. No hard feelings or anything but I just dont see the point in continuing this game with these teammates since our game styles/philosophy how to play this game are just too incompatible.
Then ofc we have the solo runners who run 500 m ahead, right into a full squad, dies and insta leaves, but good riddance to them =)
