I don't think we're the same type of apex player. I've played for years and only play ranked, and hot-dropping is not how to win or score rp, it's just asking for an early menu screen.

You can't play like that when every match has an rp cost to play, so how you play will overall make you waste away your rank, but it seems you're a casual player who's there to go crazy with friends, and power to you if enjoy apex like that, but that's not how ranked players play.

Well if you want to play the game like it were chess, then why are you complaining?

    I cant say I've really heard much of ppl requesting shorter games - usually the other way around. Most complain the game ends to quickly. I feel a BR should be longer than say a TDM. I don't play ranked much if at all, but I would guess the most serious players and ones that are out to win and not just stack kills play ranked. That would tell me, most are playing more cautious, making smarter decisions and choosing their battles more carefully. I thought that style would more work out to prolonging matches. 

    I play Pubs as a casual and find most matches are over before you can do much.

      @ComicBookGuy2727  I don't think BR should be as short as COD matches but in Apex BRs current state, i'm either too bored or frustrated that my whole teams dead and now im running around and hiding trying to get placement points. At this point i enjoy Val more because it forces you to act more and play smarter despite the games possibly lasting an hour, but Vals rounds are short and camping and attacking feels more balanced. Along with quick kill times that forces people to not run in and die as much, unlike Apex.

      Apex is still my favorite game, but for me it's just not fullfillng competitely from how long it takes a game to end in a game about randomness and scoring points from kills and placement. If luck is a big factor in these games, as it is with the quality of teamates and 3rd parties, etc, I dont think these games should last past 14 minutes.

    @MrGreenWithAGun I never said it should be like chess, i said the oppisite. BR can't be like chess because there's too many random variables and because of that, i think these games need to be even faster to cut out long segments of camping or running around. I'm honestly disapointed that Arena was removed, because it was more strategic and entertaining then BR, but i would rather play BR if it was faster
