The game is too slow
I know they already made the circle come in quicker, but it still feels too slow.valorant games can take an hour, yet i feel less bored playing it, since rounds last minutes and you always need to be...
@reconzero
I'd say the best game would have 10 rings.
That would give you plenty of time to move, and you wouldn't be guaranteed death in almost every first ring.
You could look for easter eggs, make sure you got all the loot and attachments from the area that you need, mark locations of extra stuff you might need later, fortify if you can, etc.
@BETELX6Games are always about art, not about killing your playerbase as often as possible. Art isn't just design, but story. Most players want the lore. Games like this do lore via easter eggs. Look around the map for lore bits. Little nessies and whatnot.
Have you ever picked up a nessie from Antenna on Storm Point? Have you ever won with a nessie in your inventory? You should try it sometime.
I hate when I win due to the ring. I've had a few matches where the ring came in so fast that the entire lobby died except for my squad, who was in the ring from landing. We set up and never saw anyone. They all got trapped on the other side of the mountain and we won by default, because the ring eliminated everyone.
And that was BEFORE the timer got reduced.
Although my latest matches have wound up being the ring's on the opposite side of the map. Sorry guys, no time to loot. We're gonna get killed by the ring. As we sprint as fast as we can, a couple pick up a gun or a grenade, but we only get halfway to the ring and we're already engulfed, burned, and out of the 3 stacks of syringes and 2 stacks of medpacks and pheonix kit we picked up along the way.
Seriously. If you land on the edge, and the ring spawns on the other side of the map, you're guaranteed to die. Very poor ring mechanics.
It moves faster than skydive speeds. It moves faster than a trident.
There need to be more rings so the ring isn't instantly killing everyone in the first ring. It should never move faster than people can move on a map. In most cases, that means sprinting. In some cases, that means skydive or trident speed. The ring should always be slower than skydive, never outpacing it. Game's no fun when you're always being eaten by the ring.
@Zulkiers If you like game art so much, I'm surprised you aren't a single-player-game focused person where art is the objective. Of all my years in Apex and playing with friends we never cared about lore or easter eggs, we just wanted a cool overwatch battle royal session. Art is cool as there's some single and multiplayer games i play because i love the lore, concept, or music, but Apex isn't one. it's just a neat BR i want to play competitively, but map art and lore don't sell skins and battle passes, cosmetic creativity and enjoyable gameplay do like with every competitive multiplayer game story isn't advertised.The story and secrets is for people who want to go deep like an ice berg video. Titan Fall is a great game and some Apex players wanted a Titan Fall 3 over playing Apex, but amazing lore isn't going to sell Titan Fall, cool COD/big robot battling gaming will. Enjoying lore/art in multiplayer shooters has always been a niche to people who want some fun.
Iv'e only had a few games from a ring win, and it's just funny to me. I don't think I've even lost to the final squad from the ring. Iv'e abandoned my teammates so the ring doesn't kill me. It's just something you must obey or lose and I've never played the game and wished the ring was weaker so i could loot, i just played the game fast and tried to always know where i want to go on the map.
