@TheJumpingJawa It's easy to see why you might hope that, but bare in mind this is the devs responding to the situation. And not just immediately either. They actually took the time to listen to at least some of the feedback the community have been giving. What's even better is the they've publicly declared being mistaken... How often does that actually happen with IP's put out by EA? So I don't think

However I suspect you are right in that we shouldn't take it at face value.
Yes in Drew McCoy's statement they've said they are learning and will make better decisions in the future, but his words also don't necessarily recognise the fundamental issue of all this controversy.
Respawn: "We won't tell you why we did this like this, but we'll let you know how things go in the future"... you could argue its too little too late.
Like with anything in this industry these days we must take it all with a pinch of salt, but what is of upmost importance is that we as consumers learn from this and are more mindful of how things progress over time.
