@dtOddity92 Played this event for two days straight. So far i made 3 solo wins on 3 different characters. Opened one case from a quest and opened another for cash. I have to say that solo event is a lot of fun, but event overall is a huge flop. After grinding for two days there are options to continue grinding towards daily quests and and a badge levels?
Daily quests are dumb: "kill two people in the same round with pistols" "deal 10 headshots with light machine guns". I dont have time for this s***.
Secondly, if im grinding towards top 5's, i get wins here and there and badges for win are more than this stupid "always second" badge that look dull.
Currently im fed up with this game, i feel no gravitation towards daily quests and event for me is over. I have no insentive to play this game in the upcoming month or so.
I completed my own goal of lvl 100 and i wont spent hours to collect pieces of dust. If you want to get my attention, implement a new fun gameplay, not another slot machine. If you are wondering next game for me is minecraft hardcore mode.
I think considering the Iron Crown to be a flop is certainly a valid response, but overall I feel there's a lot of good to come from it too.
Players have been wanting a single mode for months. Now they have had the option to test it. (With most feedback being positive I hear.)
Major core gameplay features and issues have been refined and addressed.
Even the demand for more cosmetics was met. (Albeit in a bad way.)
Plus with Drew McCoys announcement to the community clearly show that the devs are reacting to the feedback they've been getting the last few days.
You rightly say that some of the content is lacking however and that if they want the players attention they need to include more of what the player base wants.
But I think a key thing to bare in mind is that we're a community of thousands of players and every player wants something different.
- There are those who just want to play.
- There are those who just want a challenge.
- There are those who just want to be rewarded.
- And there are those who just want to have fun.
A major symptom of the problem were facing is that it could be considered possible that as players of what is free-to-play IP is that we're asking for too much too soon. According to Drew McCoy, Respawn are "learning", and that takes time with a live-service game. As does being able to provide the content everyone asks for.
On day one Respawn delivered a game with a message. That at it's core Apex Legends will be a team based battle royale game.
Everything extra is subject to change with how people interact with it.
People want a finished product, but in this case there's almost no such thing.
As a community we just have to keep voicing our criticisms and suggestions. If we do then there's a better chance of seeing the content we want, delivered to us the way we want.
Also... good use of the letter "A" there by the way, but I suggest keeping it as civil as possible.
We can't expect the devs to take us seriously if our criticisms get outshined by our use of foul language, even if that choice of language emphasises our displeasure.
They do indeed read everything too, at least according to a message I received from an EA official thanking me for keeping a level head about all the controversy whilst giving feedback here.
They said "That tone really helps to get your point across, and helps the tone of the forum overall."
If more of us behave accordingly it'll give the devs a greater source of actionable feedback, making it so they don't have to waste time wading through the death threats and "go eff yourselves".
