The combat system has changed drastically in season 24, but not for the better. I feel like my teammates end up dying and leaving or the game just feels less team oriented as we all die faster due to the buffs in weapons and other changes. I am actually not half-bad at Apex Legends, I like playing alone. But I feel like now I can’t even get a single knock. The game straight up doesn’t feel as satisfying anymore. Back in other seasons, fighting another squad toke effort, skill, strategy, and a bit of luck, but now I feel like even when I end a squad, it happened so fast, I didn’t feel very rewarded. Lastly, if you falter, you die. Turn your back, you die. One single mistake and you’re finished, most of the game is spent loading in your own match. If you’re looting, and if your enemy is behind you, you are dead. Even, when I play in trios with randoms, I feel like it just isn’t as fun. Even with my friend, my and I play duos, it honestly doesn’t feel fun anymore. Plain. Boring. Frustrating. I genuinely hope they change the combat system back to how it was. The game doesn’t feel the same. It feels like I’m playing a completely different game from what I did yesterday, I can’t even finish anybody without getting killed, you can’t even escape fire, even from afar, and that’s saying something.

Hmm, I have thee exact opposite feeling. I've been playing since beta - religiously. It was the longer TTK which kept the game more team orientated. Because battles lasted longer, you needed to work together as a unit to come out of them alive. Now with this TTK, team dynamics is pointless and doesn't require you to work as a unit to survive. Press the button and watch your combatant die instantly. Why would you need teamwork for this? If anything I have found teammates are now competing with each other to get the kill first or steal the kill, because again... whom ever shoots first knocks first. I can't even begin to understand your reasoning behind why you feel it promotes MORE team play?

I really hope they fix this and the lobby but I guess that’s fine :(

Sometimes you win against the odds because the odds really weren't against you at all and you just didn't know it: that's what I mean by bad matchmaking. Even if you're only a high gold hack, you may still win a 1v2 if matchmaking just happened to put you in a lobby of predominantly bronze players. Absolute skill is irrelevant in this game. The only thing that matters is skill relative to the enemy. And thanks to sbmm, good or bad, anyone can win 1v2. If that makes any sense.

This game has not been the lease bit team oriented since season 2........With the long TTK, Evo Shields, and guns that shoot wet noodles teamwork was not really needed. The faster TTK puts teamwork, aim, positioning, and planning to the forefront of the game and it is DEFINITLEY what the game needs. 1v2 and 1v3 fights should always always always end in the solo person losing the fight!

Yeah, but genuinely I can solo trio matches. This new season is making it harder since people end up doing more damage and that means you can’t hide and shoot them from another angle.

Not if you are good enough, if you can sole 1v3 that’s great I can’t but if he can that’s great, just because you haven’t played since season 2, and you just like it because now you can finally be good doesn’t mean it makes it fun, and I am not trying to be mean

If there was ever a time when they didn't then that's down to bad matchmaking, not to a ttk that's too long or any other kind of combat system miscalculation that's gone on now for over five years. IMO.

Not really, if you are good at the game, you can win 1v2. Yes, I do know that 1v3 is extremely hard to win against but you do have a chance. You are probably aren’t as skilled as some. I’m just saying. I wasn’t here to show how I can 1v3 someone, it was an example, I truly just wanted to show how many end up dying too quickly. I could be looting a box for a second, and next I know I’m dead.

This game needs lots of skill, repositioning, and focus. Matchmaking is matchmaking, even if you are a “gold player”, against two “bronze players”. Apex is a game which level doesn’t win you the game, getting lucky that you get a squad that has worse loot, or better loot, worse positions, and better positions, or sometimes, you fight a Mirage and sometimes you fight a Crypto. It is luck and skill based. I don’t know how you all are looking at 1 v 2 as impossible, there are many Apex Players on YouTube that can do this, like the GamingMerchant, or Ayex and many more I can’t think on the top of my head.
Colton953, you are probably someone who just snipes or plays with no skill, looking at your profile, you are a Fuse. Perhaps you are just happy since Fuse gets to hold 4 more grenades for free.
