The real controller problem

I love how the geniuses at ea, instead of actually nerfing controller. They just took away tap strafing. As if at any point that will make a difference. 4-3 LINEAR IS THE PROBLEM. There is no world where kbm players are expected to keep playing when no matter how much aim training I do I will never be able to hit shots with the pathetic ease of a controller. OH YEAH BUT MOVEMENT IS THE PROBLEM. The devs clearly do not play this game and if they do they are controller players.

if you want to play a shooter you should have to put a conscious effort into your aim, the first time I picked up a controller it’s immediate 1 clips. You think I’m kidding but I’m not. Nerfing one small pc community of controller tap strafing does nothing to fix the problem with controller, but hey yk im the stupid one. “Just get gud”

I’m done with this game, instead of actually fixing anything you just take something away to shut people up for a bit. Hopefully they’ll keep playing our * game

The truth is, if they nerf aim assist they will no longer be able to play the game, as well as the 40 yro dads won’t be able to aim so I must suffer

I do kinda think you're kidding. The only way I can imagine that you're not is if playing mnk aim is somehow like a very strenuous workout with incredibly heavy weights. So when you suddenly decide to pick up a 10 pounder you're unintentionally throwing it through the roof.

If that's so, then count yourself lucky and stick with the controller. Lifelong controller players don't just walk around one clipping enemy after enemy unless they have a legitimate illegitimate cheat. Of which I'm told there are many.

The idea that controllers are self-aiming is conspiracy-theory-level crazy. If it was true then every single xbox and playstation kid would be running around with 90% accuracy.

Some people do seem to pull this off through some combination of extreme talent and dexterity.. I read a lot more posts from people trying controller for the first time and realizing that they are completely incompetent with it.

With 10 years of playing on a controller I don’t think it’s too much by saying a can pick up a controller and immediately go back to one clipping, to say this 1 thing completely dismantled my argument is childish. This is a forum not twitter, take your debates elsewhere

You're going to stop playing? Fantastic, one less person to cry about something so pointless.
The issue isn't controller players in general, it's the modded controllers. On top of that, you really think the average person who uses controller becomes an aim god? Many, many keyboard and mouse players try controller and revert back because its not as easy as aiming and shooting lol.
Play Controller if you're unhappy and stop complaining because you're getting roled by players who are more than likely just better.

@DaleFox2012 Switching to controller was exactly as easy as I expected, needed a bit of getting used to since I never play anything with controller but once the weird feeling was gone it got pretty free to oneclip people 🙂

@MagnusVon agree i sometimes play on my nephew ps4 and it's ridiculous how the aim assist is strong in this game except when you're sniping.
Feels like cheating everytime and only a bot would say otherwise.

@MagnusVon If they can't fix controllers on PC lobbies, I wish they would just give us an option to opt out of cross-play lobbies. I'm so sick and tired of being put into a lobby where someone is on a controller, (either on a PC or on a console), and they're using things like Steam configs, strikepacks, xim, chronus zen, etc. to abuse the aim assist and get an unfair advantage.

You'd think that if someone suddenly has god aim on a controller, that the aim assist would automatically turn off, but it doesn't.
My honest opinion is that if you're on PC, plugging in a controller shouldn't even work. That's simply because most of us are on a gaming PC, and Apex demands a high end PC to run properly anyways. Why use a controller? Especially when Steam configs are being heavily abused right now.

@Midnight9746 Steam configs as well as CFG exec files are now banned and will not operate inside the game no matter the platform or input.
