Anyone else feel like the Spitfire needs to be rebalanced? I've noticed the meta went from Mastiff to Spitfire, and I'm seeing people use the Spitfire, shoot for a half second, and they insta down 1-3 people, and its usually a console user. I've also heard this gun got a "buff" which was 100% not needed.
Not really, no. It needs some dmg drop off at range, like all of the machine guns. Maybe a slight nerf to rate of fire or dmg per bullet, but nothing crazy. Personally I have no problem with 1-2 guns being (perceived?) op every season, kinda shakes up the gun meta.
@Midnight9746 If you're gonna nerf the spitfire, the flatline has to have the same done. I'd argue the flatline is a MUCH bigger problem than the spitfire in terms of DPS to the point where it pretty much kills close-mid range game.
It's not hard to track someone midair with a gun that holds so much ammo in one round. You can track them through the air and still have half a mag left to continue tracking and shooting them after they landed.
The point IS that the DPS + ridiculous mag size makes it a crutch. Shoot me out of the air with a Wingman and prove you've got skill. I don't mind being killed by skilled players, but that Spitfire crutch isn't impressive.
