This is Apex ranked for me now

I had really a bad time in season 5 and 6 of Apex, and in 7 it seemed like it was slighly improved (not perfect, but playable). Season 8 started decently as well but now it's just horrible.

This is my game now, constantly with invisible people, people that shows in your screen and you get downed instantly, then see in the dead info that you had received 13 bullets, and constant no regs:

At the begining I though It was just difficult to see people with long weapons from afar (I was just not able to see someone hitting me with a sniper), but eventually I realized that they just don't load in my game. I can only see the shot traces.

Ranked for me is just impossible and I have a decent connection. Servers state I have like 33 ping but that just not true at all. This has been like this almost all season, but the last two weeks have been just ridiculous. My shots just does not count.

I don't know how the game ended up in this miserable status, but that's a no go. I'm wondering if this is something that is just happening to me or there's something special that needs to be configured, but tried a crazy load of things and this just happens again and again.

  • Dude that is crazy, I havent come across that yet. But these would server side issues for sure.

They would much rather add more paid content than fix their game.

Yes. They patch the game and I expect some improvements on this, but every patch seems to just make things worst.

First of all, kudos to you for uploading videos.

I notice that you have around 30-40 FPS in fights. Maybe your rig simply is a too weak for this game to run properly? A friend of mine had the same problem back in the early days of this game where his game wouldnt load all textures until a while into the game. Still kinda weird since the game seem to run quite smoothly apart from the enemies, popping up from nowhere hrmmm.

But in vid 3, I must disagree that you have noregs. If you watch the video in slow motion and just pay attention to where the enemy model is and where your hip-fire cross hair is for every bullet that leaves your weapon, you will see that he actually is either in the edge of it or even totally outside the cross hair most of your spray.. Now add the fact that you are hip-firing which adds a random spray pattern plus that the spit fire has quite slow rate of fire which "increases" the chance that the enemy model simply slipped between between shots. So I would agree that you were very unlucky but I dont think there were noregs here. Also, as far as I know, regs always play the hit-sound without registering damage, which never happened in your vid.

Hi, yes, I normally upload videos to comment with the buddies.

What do you mean by my rig? you mean the hardware? it's a PS4, so if it's not enough it should be the same for all users I guess.

About the no reg, I did several tests with spitfire in the shooting yard and you can even not aim to the pupet and it will still hit sometimes. I agree with you that sometimes a no reg has the sound effect, but I don't agree that it's always like that. Take this video from previous seassons for example:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2yh9U-GSV0

Begining of the video: You can say that all triple take shots barely miss and this is not a no reg, but if you go and test the weapon you see that a shot in that distance with a triple take always hit the the dummy. It didn't have any sense to have no hits there based on my tests back the (as a note, back then the triple take did not have the choke natively).

End of the video: You can clearly see how the triple take sniper hits, sounds, and no damage, so that game was wrong for sure.

And this is a more recent to see that this is not something wrong on my end, is the net code:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh0yBZJ9BDU

You see my buddy running past me, I turn and he is invisible. Why in the hell would a game unload a character like that? Doesn't have any sense! Evertime someone goes out of a cover (so you cannot see them) they load it and unload it when it goes back out of your sight?

I understand that this game should be prepared to work smoothly in a closed hardware like a ps4 console and I don't really should need to do crazy configurations to make it playable. I really think something is very wrong with the netcode in apex, and I really think that it gets worse and worse for some reason as the time passes. It's very difficult to demostrate that you have no regs in a 26 bullet magazine shot, but the feeling on how you hit between one day and another is VERY different, and the sensation of someone showing up and you see him noticing you, aiming you and start shooting, from someone that just pops up, start firing at second 0 on your direction, you feel like you got hit with a sinlge shotgun hit and you see he was using a 301 that landed 15 hits is crazy.

But again, as this got to a really unplayable point for me, sharing this here to see what is the solution. Right now the only one I see if this does not change is to uninstall the game, but that's not my current goal.

Oh ok didnt realize you played on console and then its super strange and most likely something faulty in the the game code or server lag hrmm (so you console players really play with 30-40 FPS all the time? Must suck). But if this not a fault on your side, I guess you can assume that more console players should experience the same problems, no?

And regarding no regs; I dont dispute that there are no-regs in this game. I also get them from time to time but honestly not that often. I remember it happened on 2-3 occasions last split but I play on on PC on EU so maybe there are more noregs in other regions and on console. The last triple take hits in your vid were definitely no regs =) All I am saying is that the situation with the spitfire in your first video could have been no regs but it also could have been some unlucky rng with the random hipfire recoil pattern.

I simply watched your vid in slow motion and counted, for each bullet,  how many of them was fired when the Pathfinder was within the "area" that all the bullets randomly ends up when  hip firing with the Spitfire and came to the conclusion that most of your shots were outside this area. And then I argued that those few shots that actually had a chance of randomly hit the Pathfinder might just randomly had gone in the "wrong" random direction by chance. But who knows, maybe it was no-regs.
