well the kind of "tactical" game you want is a game in the style of the old rainbow six titles.
this sort of games have dried out. people nowadays want fast paced (in terms of movement) shooters like warframe, apex, CoD (only the new titles) and (maybe?) fortnite.
not sure about fortnite, since i barely played it, since the whole building thing is not my kind of thing.
this is a free to play game that needs to attract a lot of people, if it were a slow paced tactical shooter, it would end up a niche game, which kills a f2p game.
you have valid points, but unfortunatelly the time of slow paced tactical shooters (that attract lot's of people) is gone and therefore apex will never be one (in my opinion).

I am totally ok with the fast paced nature of Apex Legends, in fact i tested and found that
as long as <100ms of ping, it is still playable properly....
what i have an issue with is the actual game mechanics involved, such as the "rescue mechanic" i mentioned in the original post
as well as the grenades not having a "fuze time" mechanic, also the acceleration physics that isn't realistic, or even equal amoungst the characters...
Basically if a game has skills and grenades, shouldn't there be a viable way to use those other damage dealing mechanics?
currently any high speed character can literally out run any grenade or damage ultimate with no issue, that makes it totally unfair,
cos the only people who can win are those who are very accurate at shooting or aimbots...
In fact the fast speed is a plus, but there should be rewards for people who can think fast on their feet,
for example if you engage with an enemy who in the 1st couple of bullets, you notice is more accurate than you in shooting,
then you can still win via other alternative tactics other than shooting (such as grenades or character skills...)
currently that is totally impossible !!!!
[another ridiculous issue is the sound range for healing items, there is literally no way to heal without being found if you are playing with an experienced
player, also the sound lasts for the entire duration of the heal, not just the initial usage, that literally makes it worse than any of the character gadgets....]
THE WORST ONE IS MEDIC-LIFELINE's HEAL BOT, OMG THAT NOISE, EVERYONE FROM HALF THE MAP CAN HEAR HER HEALING, SERIOUSLY ???
