You guys kill me. They only smurf because SBMM? Take out SBMM and they won't smurf?
So it's perfectly fine to wail on lesser skilled players? That's all you want? TOO BAD!
Yes SBMM will make better skilled players smurf, so they'll just have to do a better job of assessing skill so even smurf accounts don't last longer than a few games. Eventually the super skilled will either stick to their correct competition or quit, I'd be ok with then quitting, and i wouldn't doubt respawn/ea wouldn't blink either since they make up .01% of the player base.
@S8N_Spawn I literally have to smurf if I want to play with anyone besides my competitive team.... if I don’t the game is unbearable for my friends. So yeah, I had never once in my life played a secondary account until the game became an exercise in rage for all of my friends in casual lobbies. Smurfs play ranked because it is easier than casuals lmao, the system is busted AF.
- @SnuggleyPuffs It's not busted, and it's not built to cater to your needs. You, and all the other smurfs, aren't entitled to pound on lower skilled players, or play against those at the lower level of your friends.
The system is built to create a competitive environment and that's exactly what it's doing. We have two modes to choose from; casual and ranked. Whenever you wanna go up and compete vs equally skilled players, you play ranked. But sometimes you want to play -> casually <- therefore you choose to play -> casual <- mode. But when you reach a certain skill level, casual mode becomes exactly as sweaty and competitive as high elo ranked. A lobby full of players with 2+ K/D like myself is NOT a casual gaming environment for anyone.
Sometimes you want to goof around, try out weird weapon combos, new legends or just play casually with your friends regardless of their skill but this SBMM makes that impossible. The only way to enjoy casual for me is to group up with two equally skilled players and sweat our ❤️❤️❤️❤️ off which isnt very casual. I have nothing against a soft SBMM that saves the very worst players to be matched against Predator skilled players too often, but all Im saying is that the SBMM is to strict right now.
And also, who has the fragile ego here? Who here wants the game to be catered to his needs? YOU. You want special treatment because you can handle free for all. We who dont want SBMM want everyone to play with everyone; no handicap, no special treatment. Sometimes you get killed by someone more skilled, sometimes you kill someone less skilled. But once again; to have "casual" lobby full of only player with 2+ K/D isnt casual.
@BabbediboopiNope, nice try. Ranked is for playing against equally RANKED players in that season. "Casual" does not mean "go up against anyone, mostly those less skilled than me". Non-ranked is just that, non-ranked, you're not playing for rank points, so it's "casual" with NOTHING TO LOSE, except the match, when you're going up against equally SKILLED players, hence, SKILLED Based Match Making.

My ego ain't fragile 'cause I don't have one. You just outed yourself my friend, you WANT TO PLAY AGAINST LESS SKILLED PLAYERS, PERIOD.
It's not going to happen, it's not how the game is set up to be played, you're rightfully going to be playing against equally skilled players in pub (casual = not ranked, NOT casual = not competitive) or equally ranked players in ranked. You're best bet to smash on less skilled players is the beginning of every ranked season, so you can at least enjoy that 🙂

You don't understand that. You are in the top 5% of players most likely. If you want to play with your friends, jump into a normal game. You complain about the SBMM is too difficult with you on the team with your 'lower' end friends...

- @S8N_Spawn You are the literal definition of a crybaby. You have come into this thread and accused everyone of wanting to pound in low skill players. I only smurf when my friends can’t stand to play with my main account, most of the time I play by myself because I ruin their experience unless I switch accounts. I literally said nothing about the system catering to me, I mentioned that it forces me to smurf if I want to play with friends for THEIR SAKE not mine.
- @Pha1n0 It isn’t too difficult for me, the problem is that it makes the game unplayable for my friends. I already stated that pretty clearly, you guys obviously have a bone to pick with skilled players, sorry about that.
There's nothing wrong with smurfing. It's not cheating either. It does suck though when you run into smurfs as you are trying to rank up solo queuing. I expect them to see if they are smurfing or cheating and they are usually smurfs. However, smurfs are only an issue in Bronze to at Least Gold. Platinum is where smurfs somewhat dies
