But without SBMM, there would not be any "noob lobbies" =). The average of each lobby would probably be around low gold. And one diamond player wont just auto-win against several teams of golds. To fight as a "silver skilled player" against a "gold skilled player" is in Apex, with all its RNG and quite low skill cap, not "near impossible challenge" at all, and same goes for a "gold skilled" player vs a diamond skilled player etc etc.
And like I said, Im pro SBMM for the very very worse players, like those who literally just started to play FPS etc etc. What Im against is this current level of SBMM which basically makes my casual games feel exactly as competitive as ranked. Whats the point of having ranked and casual when they are the same?
Edit: What you don't understand (or don't want to acknowledge) is that people you call "very very worse players" are, actually, the "average" players and are a majority. So before SBMM was implemented, every lobby was a lobby of "low" skill players with some diamonds and preds. And yes, even one diamond in a lobby can totally ruin it for dozens of players.

So here we go again - it's no fun for you to sweat against diamonds\predators, but it should be ok for silvers and golds perpetually sweat against platinum\diamonds\preds.

No, I think it can be fun to sweat against diamonds and predators, and thats why I play ranked, i.e. a competitive and sweaty game mode. I just dont want a lobby where the majority are diamonds of predators when Im playing casual mode. And you are not being honest here and keep making weird straw man arguments. Its not me who complains about predators in my game. I want to have diamonds, masters and predators (or simply better players than me) in my game unlike you who want to be specially treated and never have to fight them. I just dont want to have 40-50% of them in every casual lobby when Im trying to relax and just play for fun. I want the skill distribution of an average casual match to be according to the skill distribution of the player base. No special treatments, no handicaps. its simple as that.

Like I said; the only thing we can say about the skills of the average player is from statistics on ranked distributions for each season, and I was 100% clear that this isnt a 100% accurate way of estimating it but thats all we got, right? If you have a better insight then please share, but according to the ranked distribution, it seems like most players (70-80%) are silver/gold. I wouldnt call a those "the very very worse". And if you think that one diamond player in a lobby full with mostly silver and golds is a unfair match , then we must just agree to disagree. - ilya_lizard6 years agoRising Veteran

I was in the gold tier in the second season. And you know what? The "casual" mode was unplayable for me. Not "challenging". Not "equally hard". It was f***n unplayable - plain and simple. You feel that casual as hard as ranked for you? Same for me! But for me, it's an improvement. And a huge one. So yes, SBMM is a special treatment. But it's a "special treatment" that brings equality to our game experience.
Is it honest enough for you?
