Titanfall 2 had great PvP
With mechs, and wall running, and abilities. I know we're not looking at mechs for this game, but Apex could stand to learn a few lessons from TF2 game play. For one, although the guns weren't necessarily balanced, because of ttk you still felt you had a better percentage of options. Another is the battlefields were more dynamic. Even though Apex has just one battlefield, it could stand to use some diversity in its environments.
Honestly, I love the idea of Apex, but after playing this a bit, I'm wondering why I'm not going back to play TF2. Battle Royale is fun, but it's one thing and it plays out the same way each time.
Another note: It makes less sense logically, but in Fortnite, you have pickups everywhere, even in the woods or in some open field. Apex took the care to have locations make more sense for pickups, but frankly the game suffers from it more. It leads to haphazard clusters on drops instead of strategic, off area drops with the intent of gearing up over the long term. Just my thoughts on it.
