Welcome to the internet.
You said this was your first time experiencing online coop pvp, just be glad you're not playing any games with a direct rating / ranking system with a visible number depicting your current skill - those games are way more toxic.
People annoying you? Mute them, block them, and they will literally never affect you again.

The internet won't change and anyone trying to change it will only get bullied / trolled / meme'd on harder (watch Bully hunter lol). The sooner you get used to it the better you're off.
